Phoebe the Rescue Mutt Phoebe aka Miss P, The Phoebster, (Love)Bug, Knucklehead, Little Gurl I was born around the 10th of October, 2013, probably in Virginia. I passed that 40-50 lb.

Somehow I ended up at the Virginia Beach SPCA, where I shared a "suite" with my litter-mate brother. The SPCA probably didn't want to world to know what I really was so I'd get 'dopted, they said I was a Feist. My pawrents kept getting asked what I was, but everyone disagreed. They finally had my DNA tested. Turns outs I'm 50% American Pit Bull Terrier, 24.2% Australian Shepherd, 19.4% Australian

Cattle Dog, & 6.4% Shetland Sheepdog. Mommy & Daddy wanted a small(ish) fur-baby and one that didn't shed. At my last dogtors visit, I weighed 78.6 lbs. mark that the SPCA said I'd be back when I was about 4 months old. Mommy has to vacuum everyday to clean up all the hair I leave all around the house. She also has all but given up on wearing black clothes. I'm a barker. I don't snuggle, but love butt & chest rubs, & will give you lots of kisses. I'll retrieve just about anything for you, but won't hand it over. The only time I mean growl at you is when you try to take away a new bone that still has meat on it, but I'll play growl when we play keep away with my toys or old bones. I snore. Loudly. I love looking out the front door, watching for skwirls & birds, which I'll gladly chase.

I was lying in front of the door, guarding my kingdom, when I spotted this! Mahm finally came to see why I was making such a ruckus & she saw it, too. This is the first turtle we've seen here. She thinks it was a snapper. She left it alone & it headed towards those woods straight ahead. I scared it off!

PSA: We bought this water buffalo(?) horn a few wks ago from an independent pet store in Wmbg. They told us they were great for heavy chewers. Phoebe loved it. We watched her closely anytime she chewed it. I could tell it was coming off in pcs (as do some bones). It also stunk! I gave it to her again today & she tore into it. A few minutes later she coughed & out came this shard! We're headed back to Wmbg tmrw & we'll be bringing this with us to let the shop know abt it.

Now that the warm weather is back, so are more bugs. Mahm wanted me to remind you pawrents about using apple cider vinegar (acv) in your furry kids water bowl to keep away the fleas. I've been drinking it for over 10 yrs now & have *never* had a single (or married) flea on me! It also is s'posed to help with digestion. Just a teaspoon or so in their bowl every day. 😋😘

My nail technician made a house call today & brought her furry kid, Gemma. I haven't seen Gemma since before she had her 1st litter of babies a couple of months ago. It was fun seeing her & having someone besides M&D to play with today!

I just got back from the dogtor. Dad says I was a gud gurl while they were taking out my stitches. They have to keep an eye on me for any more bumps like these Mast Cell tumor thingys, but I've been released from any restrictions. I can go back to sleeping in the big bed at night. Hi frens. I need some good luck, good juju, good thoughts, or prayers, whatever you believe, today as I go to the dogtor & she removes another Mast cell tumor. I had one removed this same time last yr & everything was fine & there's no reason why this should be any different, but I *am* a yr older & you know how that is. Thanks!

I'll be 10 yrs old in abt 5 days (M&D don't know my exact birthday, so it's the day they picked) and I've just recently started rolling on my back like this. There's no poop or anything nasty under me. I've done this in the dirt, too, but never in the house. Can anyone tell us why?

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Mahm did even better today & got me *real* bones! These are from the butcher man. She put them in the freezer when she got home, but decided I could have 1 now, even tho they're icy cold. I kept going back & forth 'tween the little one & big one, then settled on this one.

Mahm's messing with me this morning! She didn't give me my cookie hider inside on my blanket.

Daddy's home!!

I kept putting my head in Mahm's lap & she kept fussing. She asked me what I wanted so I showed her. I never got anything tho. She told me it was 4 more days till Saturday till I got my cookie hider. I begrudgingly walked away & laid down w a {{sigh}}.

Mahm's a day late wif my cookie hider, but oh well. I'm a contortionist...

M&D are being mean to me. They (well, Mommy, actually) put my bones on the table & I couldn't figure out how to get them. Mommy finally moved them closer (twice) so I could.

The thunderboomers are back again! They called it a pup-up storm so they didn't have a chance to give me any zoinky pills.

Round 2. *Now* I can lie down...

Part of my evening routine. I'll do this once more later on & actually lie down.

Get this heckin' thing outta my bed!
