🎃👻 Halloween Pet Safety Tips 🐾🧡
Halloween can be fun for humans — but it can be tricky for pets! Here are some important tips to help keep your furry friends safe and stress-free this spooky season:
1️⃣ Keep Treats Out of Reach 🍫🚫
Chocolate, sugar-free candy (especially xylitol), and raisins are toxic to pets. Store all treats safely away from curious noses!
2️⃣ Watch the Door! 🚪🐶🐱
With the door constantly opening for trick-or-treaters, pets may get scared or try to escape. Keep them in a quiet, secure room away from the festivities.
3️⃣ Costumes Aren’t for Every Pet 🧙🐾
If dressing up your pet, make sure the costume is comfy, non-restrictive, and doesn’t block their vision or breathing. If they seem stressed — skip it!
4️⃣ Decor with Care 🎃🕯️
Jack-o'-lanterns with candles, fake cobwebs, and small decorations can be fire hazards or choking risks. Keep them out of paw’s reach!
5️⃣ ID is a Must! 🏷️📱
In case your pet does slip out, make sure they’re microchipped and wearing up-to-date ID tags.
