Feliz Día de los Mu***os! A holiday that remembers those we’ve lost and invites their souls to return in celebration with loved ones. We create altars of remembrance and set out offerings to nourish them after their journey back to us. Dogs have a great importance for this holiday and are generally celebrated on October 27th. According to Aztec tradition, dogs were humankind’s best friend not only in this life, but also in the afterlife. They believed the dogs guided the souls of the dead through the underworld.
So today we remember those we’ve lost and celebrate the life we shared. Both human and animal. 🕯️🏵️❤️
