Summer Update!☀️
The warm weather is here, and schools are almost out, which means vacation time is just around the corner! July is almost fully booked so if you have plans to board your bird this coming month, please let us know ASAP. Before the busy summer season starts, there are a few new updates for the boarding and grooming services.
Firstly, we will now be requiring a minimum of 1 weeks' notice for boarding going forward, and last-minute bookings or changes made without proper notice before the drop off date will result in a $40 late notice fee added to the boarding total (per household booking). This is to hopefully reduce the high number of last-minute bookings and changes that make scheduling very complicated. This new policy will not affect the free cancellation policy or extending/reducing stays once the bird is dropped off.
Secondly, our boarding drop-off/pickup times and grooming appointment times are changing! We will now be extending our boarding drop-off/pickup times FROM 10AM - 8PM TO >>> 8AM - 8PM, however, we will no longer be offering early or late drop-offs outside of these hours. Grooming appointment times (including house calls) are changing FROM 10AM - 6PM on weekends only TO >>> Mondays/Wednesdays from 12PM - 8PM, Tuesdays/Thursdays from 8AM - 11AM, and occasionally on weekends. Please do not show up unannounced if you are over 30 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, we will reach out to reschedule it to another day or time.
Lastly, a reminder that all drop-off/pickup timeframes must be scheduled ahead of time (no later than the morning of drop off), and if you are over 30 minutes late for your scheduled half hour/hour time frame, we will reach out to confirm a new drop-off/pickup time. My mother helps by being home for most boarding drop-off/pickups but this business does not make enough to pay someone to be home for 12 hours every day so it is VERY important to arrive during your scheduled time frame, otherwise one of us may not be home!
I don't like to add consequential fees, so I'm hoping that this will discourage last-minute bookings/changes in the future, as +50% of stays are booked with less than 3 days' notice, which creates a lot of problems when trying to finalize the weekly schedule. I am very thankful that so many people trust me with their bird's care and hope these changes make it easier to continue providing these services in the future.😁
