This past week has truly been amazing to us over here at Bright Aquaculture !!! I have what I consider to be one of the most exciting trios of wrasses possible with all of them eating frozen well. I have high hopes and was happy to add a 3rd Tomini Tang to my crew in the new system.
Tomini tangs are one of the most useful bristetooth tangs being complete workhorses! They're very well versed in clearing out neusence algea and tend to stay on the smaller size around 4-5" max! I like to provide a lot of cover and caves for my tangs to get extra enrichment. One down side is they will throw A LOT of sand around the tank which can kill certain corals if you aren't careful. Hey atleast they clean the sand well too!!!
One of the new wrasses is a gem wrasse (yellow tail tamarin) which i have been looking for forever. It has been active as can be which is a good sign! They're very beneficial working for parasite removal and I've heard, but havent confirmed that they also like to feast on vermitid snails as they get older so thats always an added bonus!!! We mainly add our wrasses for their amazing ability to hunt and eat pests such as flatworms, nudibranch, and any other micro pests that can slide through the cracks. The best part is theres tons of different color varriation in wrasses as well as a few different genesis which can get along very well when paired correctly! Our other wrasses in this trio are a mystery wrasse and carpenter's wrasse!!! Although we don't sell fish they definitely keep me going with their personalities and they keep our livestock safer!! Keep on reefing and have a Bright weekend!!!!
Alright y'all its showtime!!! Dont miss the event Christmas and Coral at George's !!!! This is gonna be our second ever show as a vendor and its going to be amazing!! Prepped all morning and got the tank good to go for travel tomorrow!!! Y'all aren't gonna wanna miss this!
Back at it again with another unboxing!!! Y'all better hop on these because they very rarely make it past wholesale going to private collections. Ill have some fish updates for Y'all soon too just wanted them to get settled!
Little update on the lobo. My fish order was Three Leopard Wrasses, Tomini tang, and a Blonde Naso. The leopards are doing well but are burried in the sand and tominis settling nicely. Sadly the Naso was DOA and thats the only one I got on video so I'm not going to post it. I'll do an update when the leopards come out on the fish shipment. Y'all have a blessed rest of the week! More unboxings next week!
First little unboxing video for y'all. Will update with pictures once its settled and when my new fish are settled. This unboxing video went way better than my fish shipment, thats what i mean by did better than my others.
Ignore the cloudiness our live phytos been breeding in the tank 🤣🥰 but he proves welsos are just big pillows 😅
Some beautiful new additions from the reef show this weekend. Lately we've been getting so much support from everyone! It truly means the world to us to see y'all wanting us to win! We won't let you down we promise! Youre gonna be glad you grew with us I can promise you that!!! Thanks to everyone from the bottom of our hearts! Celebrating Joe's Birthday today with lots of happy coral.
