The burger scene in Korea is really evolving, and there's a growing distinction between authentic and overly sweet burgers. An interesting takeaway from a recent article highlights how many local chains tend to over-Koreanize their burgers by loading them with sugar or sauces that turn them into something resembling candy. This trend seems to miss the mark for many burger lovers who appreciate the simplicity and robust flavors of American-style burgers.
Restaurants that focus on the essentials—quality meat, fresh veggies, and a soft bun—are gaining fans, while those which drown their creations in excessive sauces may struggle to bring in repeat customers.
