We have 20 kennels, each includes a insolated 4x6 indoor run with heated floors and free access to a covered 4x12 outdoor run. Anything to make your pet feel more at home, and enjoy his/her stay!

We will be closed May 20th and 21st for our main kennel area(big dogs). We will be resealing the floors and doing some maintenance.

Are you unsure of boarding because you don’t know where your dog will stay?
We love having people stop out to tour and ask questions. You are also welcome to bring your pets so we can meet them before their stay.

Below is a section of our small dog area, it’s a little less intimidating than the big kennel.

Quick reminder to make sure all your pups are up to date on their kennel cough vaccine.
Here at Boomers we require all dogs to have rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccines in order to stay. If you aren’t sure if they are current contact your vet and always bring any/all new records with for the next stay!

Why it is important to socialize your dogs and a few easy ways to do it. The goal is to have a socialized dog that you can take places and introduce to other pets and people without concern.
When it comes to boarding, an unsocialized scared dog is worse than an aggressive dog because they are unpredictable. It makes it hard for us to properly care for dogs who are scared of us and we have to be very cautious with our movements to be sure we do not get bit.
Tips- introduce them to new people as often as possible starting at a young age. Take them to runnings, tractor supply or anywhere that allows pets.
-introduce them to different dogs of all breeds and sizes.
-allow them to be introduced to all types of noises
-socialization and training courses are also a good option.
-praise them for positive interactions

It’s always interesting to know your options when you’re in a pinch and need/want to help your fur baby. Of course always ask a VET prior to giving them any of these.

Did you know that most cats have 24 whiskers? 12 on each cheek in 3 rows. Some have more than 24 but it’s almost always an even number with the same amount on each cheek!
Whiskers are also proportionate to the cats body and typically are around the same width as they are with their hair.

Some of you may not know but we do board cats. We enjoy having cats at the kennel to change things up. We’d love to see your cat at the kennel soon!

Just a day in the life… changing out dog door flaps to keep it warm in the kennel. Changing flaps with dogs in the runs is always a task.
As I rewatched this I was thinking I wonder what they are thinking… “lady what are you doing” “hello why aren’t you petting me?” “Fine, can I have a piggy back ride?”
Haha!

It’s Monday and this is the reality of the kennel. We clean all day long to try to keep the dog runs clean and some dogs make it impossible to keep up. But we still keep pushing!
🛁 dont forget we offer baths to send your pups home clean and smelling good.

This sweet girl runs circles in and out playing with her food bowl like it’s a hockey puck!

Tip Tuesday- dogs need a balanced diet too! Most importantly when making dogs food at home we need to make sure they are getting in their core nutrients.

Never feel bad sending a bottle of fish oil to put on their food and vitamins or anything else. We also have a fridge to keep all refrigerated/homemade foods during your pets stay.

Hey all!! We have been tossing around the idea of offering full grooming services. We currently only offer simple bathing and nail trims but with our current staff changes we have the opportunity to possibly start grooming. Is this something you as dog owners would take advantage of during your stays?
