Big man has started to learn scent detection ❤️ He’s been loving the man trailing (a pleasant surprise since when we tried him at 18 months he was the worst dog at the workshop 😅😂), but I wanted some scent work that didn’t need a second person or myself hiding in a closet. Currently he’s learning to look for the scent of basil. This was his third search since conditioning to the scent and his first scent where it wasn’t on the ground. In typical Zuko fashion we can not indicate like a normal dog and instead must hand everything back to me for trade 😂

The leash was a paid extra 😂

Baby Zuko flashback. I can’t believe he EASILY fit in a hatchback. I can’t believe how ugly he was either 😂😂. Does anyone have a Holden Astra I can recreate the car photo with? 😅

One of the changes that happens when the weather turns is that Zuko goes from just staring at me like I’m his favourite goat to actively trying to impersonate a Pomeranian so he can be allowed to sleep on the bed all night 😂. Which would be fine but man sized dog also means man sized snores and man sized farts which is far less fine.

Them: Using aversives will harm your relationship with your dog.

Me: Could someone please tell my dog so he stops staring at me like I’m his favourite goat? After a few hours it gets creepy.
