This was taken in February, little did I know that Mr B would be gone by June :( He tried so hard to stay, almost a walk.
A very sad milestone today, I scatted some of Boris' ashes at the beach he loved so much. He would just tear out into the water with everyone and keep on swimming, once he had to be led back in by the wave boarders he followed out into the sea. He was a funny, gorgeous man and I miss him more every day :(
He adored all the kids (and their balls) and they adored him.
Last lap and soooo tired!!!
Who could ask for more! Boris started the day with a "man pee', - standing wee, followed by a standing poo. This is huge for him as he has to balance and get all the actions going in the correct order! All he needed was a LITTLE support from me.
Followed this by 9 LAPS OF THE POOL!!!!!!
Sorry about all the silly barracking, but it all helps with motivation.
So proud of my fur kid
Can't wait to get back to the pool with Rob, Beno and my new buddy Zeus - I am soooo excited
Just loving the pool, he swam several laps with Rob this morning, but this will take a bit of getting used to for him.
Boris now has his own pool, hopefully to refine the walking confidence. As he can touch the bottom, he cannot swim as such but is doing a fantastic job on his first day.
Note - we are yet to position bar, very thirsty work.......suggestions welcome
Bottle of beautiful celebration champagne chilling Thanks Chris, been keeping it out of the fridge till we are ready), Boris is now right on the cusp of his very first independent steps for over a year!!!!! You can see by these videos that he is absolutely amazing. His walking is brilliant, yes I am VERY excited, I am certain we will get a solo walk before 11th Feb - very important!!!
His tail is always going non stop when he is walking about, obviously getting Poo vibes and encouragement from above.
The crew at The Vet Practice are over the moon with his stellar performance since stem cell therapy and I am humbled and very thankful as it has taken so many people doing so much work for so long that nothing could repay you all for the love and support you have given Boris and myself.
Check out canine Ian Thorpe!!!!
Well folks, those who know Chris will not be surprised at how this bath session for Boris turned out.....however...check out the standing!!! He is amazing and walking most places with assistance. Just need o be a bit less wobbly and a little stronger at the back.
OMG we love the footy, come on Beno, have a go!!!
Mr B keep right on walkin'. The silly thing is, he is camera shy so the best walks are never filmed.
