Hamlet is an 18 month old Shih Tzu. He is a 6.5 pound bundle of joy. He is perfect.

Meet Tracy / aka Trace! The bestest puppy around! Tracy is 8 mos old and is ready to start the search for his forever family. He loves to play and we will require his new family to have a young playful doggy friend in their home. Trace can play with dogs of all sizes, he is a happy go lucky guy. He will do best with an active family that is home most of the time, and who has experience with puppies and training routines. Trace is extremely smart, he loves to please and excels when given a game or task. His potty manners are coming along amazingly. He loves to go in the car and be out and about with his family. Trace is an absolute love bug … to know him is to love him!! ❤️

Lil’ Man looking for my forever home. I am about 7 years old and 13 pounds. 🐾

I like butt rubs and tummy rubs and love my softy squirrel and pumpkin. Relentless chase is ON! Come on! Throw it, people, and I’ll go fetch it and want to go again!!! I never get tired of this game!

I am kind of a slow burn concerning long walks on leash (I lag behind) but will walk with promise of making it quick so I can get back to my softy friends inside. I know my foster Mom wants me to “DO” something, so I do p**p and p*e but my fav place to “go” is dirt and flower beds and anywhere free of lawn grass.

I will bark at the door when I need to go outside. Yipp*e! I have a dislike of being around other dogs and will cower under any available hiding spot until they leave me alone. I don’t growl or bark or show my “chompers” with any aggression. I just hide and shy away from interaction with other dogs. I would like to be an “only” dog at my next forever home.

I do ride well in car, mostly laying down on passenger seat or sometimes on the floorboard. Not a fan of riding in the lap although I do gaze out the window occasionally while riding shotgun. I ride in elevators and go up and down stairs with no problem.

No need to lift me up on the bed. My foster mom finds that I hop up on the bed all by myself every time she walks in the bathroom. I love snuggling in bed at night but I like my space at the end of the bed when I settle in for the night. I’m not a fan of the word “kennel”. I will go in but pace and scratch to get out when confined for very long. I can’t help myself - I have to bark to express my displeasure. So sorry. When left to roam free , I’m as quiet as a mouse and wait by the door for your return.

I do like a treat after a successful outside visit. I love my food and water. I don’t like bananas but I do like boiled eggs. I take treats very carefully from my foster mom.

My favorite place to hang out is the sofa. I like the pillows on the sofa, the back of the sofa, and lying on blankets on the sofa. But I like having my softy play friends up on the sofa with me just in case my people would like to start another game of chase, bring and tug! I’m always ready for a play session and if you try to ignore me, I’ll bring the toy and sit in your lap until you play!

I definitely do NOT like thunder and head straight for my safe place under the bed. I can be comforted under a blanket but really want to hide! And sometimes I just like hiding under the bed, just because I can!

I think my name might be “Lucky” although my foster mom calls me Lil’Man or Manny. I know I will be lucky when I find my forever home.

Darby and Henry are a gorgeous Lhasa pair ready for their forever home. Darby was 3 in March and Henry will be 3 in October. Darby is 22 pounds and Henry is 16. Their foster family describes these two as perfect. Henry has such a precious face and Darby has stunning eyes. Henry will sometimes growl at dogs if they get in his face, or too close to Darby, but he has not gone after another dog in his foster home. The growl is more like a “back off dude.” Both do great with the foster dogs in their foster home and both love kids. They are mostly chill but you’ve never seen a dog run faster than Darby when she sees a squirrel. 🐿️ 🐿️ 😂

They both know how to use a dog door and are house trained. Darby will insist on sleeping with her human while Henry is fine in his dog bed. Both do great on a leash and are very sweet and social. 💖

Update Wednesday evening. Debby did well at the vet today and we believe she will be able to go to her foster home tomorrow. Thank you for your donations and prayers for this sweet baby. 💖🙏🙏💖

We had an emergency last night and need your help. 😭🙏

Yesterday, this little Yorkie was taken to a local shelter after a larger dog in her home attacked her. She had bite wounds all around her neck and she was in a lot of pain. Of course by the time we picked her up, it was too late to take her to our regular vet, so she went to ER. ER cleaned her up, gave her IV fluids for dehydration, pain medication, and antibiotics overnight. We are thankful to the ER staff for taking good care of her and helping her be more comfortable overnight. We couldn’t stand the thought of her staying overnight at the shelter in her condition. 😭

She is now with our regular vet being monitored. We’ve named her Debby after the lady who posted her for rescue. 🐾🩷🐾

The total ER bill was $1,234.64.

Such an adorable pair. Julianne (white) and Derek are around 2 years old and cute as can be. Julianne weighs 6.8 pounds and Derek is just over 7 pounds. 💖

Both are very sweet and we would like for them to be adopted together. They love everybody! They would love to sleep with their human but they will also sleep all night in a dog bed next to their human. They have good potty manners and will use a puppy pad if needed.

This sweet lady adopted Cooper and Kizzy from Tzu Zoo and now she is Blythe’s (now Bernice) new mommy. We are so thankful she adopted Blythe as she understands her challenges (she is scared of everything) and loves her anyway.

We try to post all of our adoption photos, but we admit we fall down on the job. We are trying to do better and just had to share these great family photos. When you have 3 kids in college, it’s like herding cats to get a family photo but they were finally able to get most in one photo. 😂

This sweet family adopted Liberty and then Margo came along and they were absolutely perfect for each other. We are thrilled for both of these babies. 💖🎉💖🎉🐾🐾

Welcome Darby (white) and Henry - a gorgeous pair of Lhasas to Tzu Zoo. They were well taken care of by their owner and it shows. 💖💖

They get along great with other dogs, are house trained and sleep all night in their dog beds. Whoever adopts these two will be so lucky. Darby still needs to be spayed and Henry needs a dental but they will both be available soon so get your application in if you are interested. 😀🐾🐾

She’s a tiny, 5 lb ball of fun! She LOVES to play with everyone- dogs, kids (older children) and anyone else willing to give her attention! Her favorite thing to do is run in the backyard or fetch the ball. She’s crate trained and almost perfect on potty training as long as you’re aware of when she goes to the door! She’s a mix of Poodle, Maltese and maybe Shihtzu.

Meet super handsome Czar! He is just under 2 years old and weighs about 12 pounds. When Czar first came to Tzu Zoo, he was very shy and would walk away if you tried to pick him up or pet him. He was not affectionate at all and acted aloof. Well that has all changed. 🎉

He is still cautious with new people but he loves his foster family. He insists on sleeping with them most of the time. And, now he approaches his humans wanting to be petted. He still is a little insecure so he would love a home where his family is home most of the time. He gets along great with other dogs and knows how to use the doggie door. He may mark in his new home at first but a belly band will help with that. He loves his toys and chasing squirrels. 🩷

Millicent is a tiny little 1-3 year old girl weighing just over 6 pounds. She came in very skinny and in awful shape from an area shelter. She should weigh closer to 9 pounds, so we are working on fattening her up. 😀💖

Millicent gets along great with other dogs and knows how to use the dog door. Her favorite activity is chasing squirrels. She is house trained and loves her human. We are not sure of her breed, but she may be a Maltese mix. No kids please as she can get a little snarky when you pick her up sometimes. 🐾

We wanted to provide an update on gorgeous little Albert!

Albert’s surgery was a success and he is expected to recover and have a properly operating liver❤️. The surgery center said he was awesome and he has not missed a beat since coming home.

This little girl is Suzy Ann. She is about 6 years old and a Lhasa mix. She gets along well with her foster siblings although she would be fine as an only dog as well. 💖

She still has a lot of energy and loves squeaky toys!

She is a shadow with her foster dad so she might want a home with a loving dad but also loves her foster mom’s lap during the day.

She likes to sleep with her humans, especially true during scary thunderstorms. 🐾

Hopefully this is last post from the ER. Ariel is eating on her own and getting better each day. She wouldn’t be with us without the support and prayers you have sent her way. Thank you so much for giving little one the chance st a full life.

Ariel is still making progress. An early morning visit with her found her on a warm pad. Her bandages are from blood draws and a catheter. She is eating on her own so they are giving her a break from it. A good day may mean she gets to go to her foster home for lots of tlc. We appreciate your support and prayers to help get this baby the life she deserves.

Hershey Update Monday evening. Hershey is doing better - everything is where we need it to be except his glucose levels. He hasn’t been able to maintain it and is receiving dextrose via IV. We are at a total bill so far of $4,900, but we aren’t giving up on this little guy. He will stay tonight and tomorrow and we will reassess tomorrow evening. Keep fighting little angel baby! We hope you aren’t sick of the Willow updates. 😀 Please excuse my excitement, but we thought it would be days before she could walk. We brought her home around 1:00 today and she could not walk. We had to use a sling to help her potty. Tonight I put her to bed and walked down the hallway and turned around and she was following me. This baby knows she is going to be ok. We are thrilled. ❤️❤️🎉🎉

I can’t even begin to describe the difference in Willow! She can actually hold her head up and she wants to be loved on. She is our Christmas miracle and we will never take your support for granted - you made this happen! Tears of absolute joy! If all goes well, she should be able to go home with me tomorrow - Paula. 💕💕 We also have to thank Alex with the City of Bedford, Texas Animal Shelter.
