🎆🎆🎆 WARNING. Please be aware , alert and prepared that fireworks may still continue in many areas .

On July 4, 2024 Many pets have been posted missing and some are still out there Please help by searching your areas . We are also sad to report that many were found deceased 💔. Our deepest condolences go out to their families 😢🌈🐾

WARNING……TODAY IS THE DAY THAT MANY WILL GO MISSING AND SADLY MANY WON’T MAKE IT BACK HOME . PLEASE TAKE IT SERIOUSLY!!

Be prepared during the day and the night . They can go off at any time . Many events being held will also shoot them off . These sounds can travel to the surrounding towns .

While many will celebrate , fireworks will TERRIFY your pets . Do not leave your pets outside unattended at all. It takes only seconds for them to escape . Prepare now to be sure all doors/windows/gates/fencing are secured . Check them continuously as guests , workers may leave them open . Keep them indoors with the tv and /or music on to dull out the sound .

They do not know what they are and the mere sound of them will cause your pet to want to escape out of fear.

Sadly, many escape your yard , your home , have run direct into traffic and even jump out of windows to their death . Some will tremble in fear, and try to hide in the smallest of areas . Some will have heart attacks . Many will go missing during this time and will never be found and sadly many do not survive this 😔.

❌IMPORTANT SAD REALITY : PUT COLLARS AND TAGS ON ❌

If your pet is found deceased on certain roads and does not have any id (collar/tags) and picked up by Dept of Transportation (DOT) or DPW….95% of the time, your pet will be DISCARDED in the trash with little chance of retrieving them and having any closure !!!!

Keep them safe !🎆🎆🎆

Note: To all that may not have pets or have never witnessed the horrific consequences and think it’s funny , IT IS NOT …please don’t comment. We are aware that empathy is lacking on your part .

As we approach Florida’s rainy season ☔️ we want everyone to exercise caution when it comes to 🐸 Cane Toads. The Cane Toad or “Bufo Toad” as its more commonly known as, can be very dangerous and deadly if its toxins are ingested by your furry friend. When threatened, the toad secretes a milky substance from its grands. If your animal ingests these poisonous secretions you might see symptoms such as (but not limited to) rapid heartbeat, excessive salivation, foaming at the mouth, convulsions, paralysis, and even death.

In the event your animal happens to get ahold of one of these toads you can try flushing out your pet’s mouth with water, making sure the excess water is not accidentally ingested or inhaled. It is then recommended to safely head to your nearest after-hours emergency animal hospital as soon as possible.

Tips and tricks to help prevent an unfortunate toad encounter:

🔘When walking your pet at night, always bring a flashlight 🔦 to make your path more visible.

🔘Remain vigilant 👀 to your surroundings. Make sure no toads are already sitting on your path.

🔘Use a standard leash rather than a retractable one when walking your pet. If you find yourself needing to pull your animal in the opposite direction of a toad, standard leashes tend to be easier than a leash that you have to reel in.

🔘Make note 📝 of where your nearest after-hours emergency animal hospital is located. If you and your pet are faced with an emergency where time is of the essence, its always best to be prepared and know ahead of time exactly where to go.

We hope everyone stays dry and safe 💙

If it's hot out for you, it's hot for our furry friends too! It's heating up here in Palm Beach County so we are going to be sharing some tips on making sure that your pets are safe in the heat! 🐱☀️🌡🐶

Hot pavement hurts paws! If the ground is too hot for your hand or bare foot, then it's too hot for paws!

If pavement is over 125 degrees Fahrenheit, heat damage can occur after just 60 seconds of exposure. You can minimize this risk by walking your pets on natural grass or dirt, purchasing booties or paw wax, or changing your walking schedule to earlier in the day before the pavement heats up!
