I just simply love him ❤
His rather keeping up his fitness test or learning a dressage test this morning. Atleast he is working off his big belly haha
Nothing better than a moving picture !! Check out the offer that Events Through A Lens is doing with some pictures taken 😍 and what better not than moving water on a beach 👌🏽👌🏽#cambersands #horseonbeach
It’s been a very long time since we’ve jumped on grass, and especially a very long time since ridden in the rain and wind, but bailey stood up to it and was amazing! Going Down hill on his bad rein never felt so good! He really does enjoy his job. And I managed to video myself 😆
So recently bailey has been a bit tricky while schooling being scared of the jumps, so avoiding this corner so I’ve gone back to ground work building his confidence back up. with both me and bailey are ground work is our strongest aspect and we both enjoy it, but we have been slacking in this department - this morning the main focus was to get him in his scary corner going round relaxed and supple listening to me, we kept it short and sweet 10 min on each side as we kept it to a circle where normally we cover the whole schoool doing different movements etc, he worked so well this morning - a tad on the lazy side so we will be working on transitions tomorrow to help him going more forward and active. It is hard to push him forward while catching him on the phone so excuse his extra laziness. #horsetraining #horsesofinstagram #exercise #lunging #lunginghorse #earlymorningworkout
++ HUSK ++
Im sure all of you know Bailey is my complete world, so his well being is in my best interest, so find out now why I have moved a lot of my products over to HUSK
As the weeks have progressed my HUSK collection has got bigger, from Saddle cloths, to girths, boots, Hi-Viz wear to base layer tops!
Husk is a very well established Brand for Keeping your horse Cool, and letting your horse breath, I have always been into my matchy matchy sets at one stage owning over 50 sets! The more research and documents go out about how bandaging horse’s legs can make them over heat.
I started off with using the HUSK saddle pad and girth, as bailey is very much a very hot horse so he does sweat up very easily all throughout the year even with a fully clip, and how ever fit he is. When I used these I was wondering if I was going to still get the white foam underneath, and I didn’t so straight away I was very impressed, when he did work extremely hard we would get slight sweat patches underneath, but at this point if he was in a normal girth and saddle pad it would literally be foam running and dripping of him, even when I touch the saddle cloth and bailey they was both very very cool! So then we moved onto the support boots for Bailey, and what better way to be kept his legs cool while still maintaining the protection and support needed! I’ve never been one for Hi Viz and this day and age it really is a must for the roads, so I thought if it has worked so well on bailey then it must be just as good for me! It was soo good I didn't even realise I had it all on! The tops are new to try for me, especially when I’m cross country and hacking I always prefer to wear long sleeve tops, which is always hard in the summer months, especially this summer as it is been 30degrees for the last few weeks, but with these tops, I’m completely fine, the oxford top has air mesh section all down the arm and around to allow your skin to breath! And the Ly wow this is such a fab design with a b
How are you handling your training in this heat?
This morning Lunging early this to avoid the heat. This hot weather does slow it down for training and fitness especially when we really need to go out competing too. We have been fighting this hot weather with early starts, lot of ground work lunging and long reining, which keeps it short and sweet to an hour of schooling - but we have even a bit of free schooling, we are also very lucky to have a lot of hacking that is in the woods so even at hottest it’s actually really chilled in all the shade.

His thoughts of the weekend coming 😂
Working off that big belly haha time to seriously crack on and get his body in shape! We are both on diets and fitness plans this summer. 🤣
