Larissa found her fur-ever home today! So did Nugget, but we missed getting a pic.
The most common mistake I see is that many people rush the process.
Thank you for the cat food donation Michael Bruchas!
And the cute little kitty plates too!!

Buttercup is a very special kitty with special needs.
She is up for adoption at Stillwater Animal Stillwater Animal Welfare.
It takes a special person to love Buttercup, is that you?!💤
The little kitty that could 😻
This is Buttercup! Buttercup came to the shelter after someone found her unable to move in the road. Initially, we thought she had been hit by a car or attacked by a larger animal. Turns out, she had been shot and left behind. Thankfully, our super awesome, compassionate veterinarian took her in, prepared to help her and give her a CHANCE.
Buttercup is 1 year old, now spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and FeLV/FIV negative. Unfortunately, Buttercup cannot use her back legs completely. She has severe hind limp weakness due to the spinal damage from a bullet. She grooms herself and stays clean. She has some movement of her hind limbs but cannot stand or walk on them. She is very good at moving around with just her front limbs. Buttercup even had a custom wheelchair generously made for her, but she unfortunately just slides right out of it.
Buttercup has been recovering on a farm and loves to run around and explore! Buttercup is loving and playful.
She can defecate on her own but needs to have her bladder expressed twice a day. Our veterinarian speaks so highly of her and said she is very easy to take care of.
We have been trying to find a rescue for Buttercup for months with no luck. So now, we are looking for a rescue or experienced adopter! Do you know someone who has or use to have a cat like Buttercup? Are you looking for a new companion with a couple quirks?
Please consider adopting or even sharing Buttercup's post! We are open Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm! Call us at 405-372-0334 to set up a time to meet Buttercup!
We can’t thank our veterinarian and her team enough for all of the hard work they do for our shelter animals! You all are true heros! ❤️
James! He’s adorable!

Again, thank you Greater Good Charities! Look what was in our donations today! This awesome cat scratcher! Tucker quickly taught Baby Elmer how to use it!!❤️❤️🐈
We rescued Elmer last week. He was wandering around in the heat trying to avoid cars and dogs. He’s a sweetie. But now he has a cold. Check out the post for more info! Thank you!! Elmer isn’t feeling very well. He has a cold and is on meds. He’s eating good and playing some but gets tired and wants to cuddle and take a nap! We do need more kitten food. If anyone would like to send Elmer something, he likes Purina Kitten chow and any kitten canned. Even little toys would be welcome! Send to “Elmer” Forever Friends Humane Society 704 S. HAPPY TAIL UPDATE! Thank you for sharing this wonderful video of little Nugget, Kathy Matlock! She is so very happy and I could not have wished anymore for her than this!
Dawn and Sawyer will be up for adoption soon! Once they are spayed/neutered and vaccinated, we will have them up for adoption on our petfinder page! Thanks to Michele Pelletier their foster in okc!
Update on little Fergus. If you recall, his paw was mangled and he had to have his leg amputated. He’s doing great! We are so happy with the little things in life, right Fergus?! ❤️❤️
ADOPTION ALERT! Sweeney Todd made it to his new home this afternoon! An Okie kitten now in Maine! He’s pretty happy and so are we!
The 9 are 7 weeks old today! the tiny white baby Finlay, is 5 weeks tomorrow! Momma Cleo is getting spayed tomorrow. Michele Pelletier sent off her DNA kit and we are anxiously waiting to find out what is in the bloodline! Happy birthday babies! you can see them up for pre-adoption on our petfinder page: www. ourfurryfriends.petfinder.com Several are already spoken for including baby Finlay!
Baby Finlay was left in a box at the door of the vet clinic a week ago...now look at him go! He is hanging with the 9 and he is actually spoken for and pre-adopted! We are so excited for Finlay! Finlay, four weeks old, is doing fantastic! This is so great to see! Getting socialized and learning how to be a kitten while handing with the 9 and even Momma Cleo is kinda liking him now too! YAY! Finlay. Originating in Scotland, the name is actually the anglicized form of the Scottish Gaelic name Fionnlagh. It has the strong yet beautiful meaning of “white warrior.”
This little baby was left at the door to the vet clinic! So tiny and so much in need of extra care, that we did an emergency transport last night to get him to the OKC fosters! It rained the whole way, but we had to do it! And now, as you can see, he is with the 9, and doing fine...however Momma Cleo wants nothing to do with him or the 9! She is very much done being their milk bar! LOL Meet little Finlay!
The 9 babies today! Thank you so much for keeping us all up to date on their progress Michele Pelletier! They will be three weeks tomorrow !
How about an update on our Momma Kitty, Cleopatra, and her 9 babies! They turned two weeks old on August 15th! They had their first visit with Dr. Camille Sieger at Harvest Hills Vet and all were FELV/FIV negative and fecals were negative! They got some eye ointment for their eyes, which were a bit weepy, but otherwise a great clean bill of health! They will be up for adoption in a few months once they are all speutered! They are all in a very wonderful foster home in OKC and we cannot thank Michele enough for the fantastic care she is providing these kiddos! Enjoy a recent video of the crew! Please help us with supplies and the vet bills...we are a tax deductible non profit charitable organization! If you are interested in adoption, we are accepting pre adopt applications...for an application via email, comment below! Thank you to all our supporters now and forever! :)
PLEASE HELP THESE KITTIES! ....we only need $150 to reach our goal of $200 to finish getting this cat colony all spayed/neutered/rabies. So far we have accomplished a great deal with 9 kitties done and 4 more scheduled for May 3rd! But we need to do 5 more before we feel this colony is complete! Help us reach our $200 goal! We have $50 so far! 5 x $40 = $200 $40 covers spay/neuter/rabies/dewormer/ear tip. We are a tax deductible non profit charitable organization! Your support helps us fight cat over population !
ADOPTION ALERT! Lieutenant Dan has been adopted! (be sure and look at pics in comment section!) Here is the story! In late October, we were contacted about a stray kitten in Heavener OK.... with NO BACK FEET! We said yes, we would take him and a wonderful family drove him up to us that very evening! Lt. Dan is missing his back paws... most likely from some type of string or more probably his momma chewed them when he was a newborn. He does get around fine and is a very happy boy! He got neutered last week and all his shots and stuff and then on Saturday, his new family drove up from Texas...they live in Palacios! On the coast of Texas! A very long drive to get their precious baby! They will pursue his future with orthorpedics for his back right leg...its the one he uses to walk on and at the very tip is a bit of bone. So that will be taken care of asap by the new family! Here are some awesome pictures of the precious boy! Congratulations to Carissa and Jason on their new baby boy Lt. Dan! Video of Lt. Dan once he made it to his new home late last night! He was hungry! Yum Yum Din Din...slurp slurp!
