Here are individual photos of the dogs rescued today.

Info on adopting:

These dogs are all purebred Wheaten Terriers. Dates of birth are on each photo.

We are just going to identify them by number and let their adoptive families pick names.

Girl #1 came with a wound on her neck which we are treating. We were told it happened while she was being groomed. Her feet did not get shaved so we will take care of that.

Boy #6 was not shaved down and is very matted so we will be shaving him down before he leaves.

They are all located in Kansas City, MO and are breeder releases. They are all pretty friendly but have no experience on living in a house, walking on a leash, housebreaking, etc. Adopters need to be willing and able to work with them on socialization, housebreaking, etc. and have lots of patience in helping them become the best they can be.

They are all up to date on shots but will need to be des*xed in their adoptive homes before adoptions are final. We will be microchipping them before they leave.

To be considered for any of these dogs, you will need a securely fenced in yard, no kids under the age of 6 and the ability to pick up in Kansas City, MO.

We only do opposite s*x adoptions. To be considered for a female there can be no other female dogs in your home and no other males to be considered for a male.

All right folks, we need your HELP!

You may have seen the posts in the last few days about the 9 Wheatens needing to come into rescue. These dogs are just 1 year old.

We were only given about 3 days to get this going and foster homes just weren't available on such a short notice so our only option to save them is to rent a cargo van and go and get them and bring them to the Rescue in Kansas City while we can work on getting them into new homes.

But, the problem is the price to do so. In order to make this happen we need to raise at least $1000 today.

Winston is looking for a new home!! Winston is a 5 year old purebred wheaten terrier, neutered and up to date on all his shots. Winston's mom says she is no longer able to keep up with Winston's energy!! Winston is a sweet dog, but does suffer from separation anxiety. Winston will need a home where the owner is home most of the day. We think Winston might do well with another female dog in the home to help with the anxiety when his owner has to leave the home without him. Winston is good with children, adults and other dogs. He has never been around cats, so that will probably not be a great idea!! Say hello to Quinn an 11 week old female wheaten terrier puppy located in Highlands Ranch. Colorado. Quinn is a typical wheaten terrier puppy full of energy. She is not housetrained nor is she crate trained, so you will need to be willing to work with her! Remember, she is just a baby and is going to require time and patience to fine tune the proper way to be a family member!

I was just clearing out some photos and I was struck at the difference in Hannah from when she came into Rescue from the puppymill and now. I feel so bad for her still waiting for her forever home a year later, but at least that terrified, haunted look in her eyes is gone!

Please consider giving this S'Wheat girl the permanent home she deserves!
