Our first highlighted service will be our Daily Dog Walking!
This service is designed to keep your pup happy, healthy, and well-exercised while you're away. Whether it's a quick potty break or a full stroll through the neighborhood, we provide personalized care tailored to your dog's needs. Ranging from 25 minutes up to hour-long walks, let us take the leash and give your furry friend the attention and activity they deserve!

Do you know what it means for cats to be bonded?💕 Bonded cats are a pair (or sometimes a small group) of cats that share a very close emotional attachment and typically thrive when they are together. They form a deep, mutual bond, often engaging in behaviors like grooming each other, sleeping curled up together, and playing side by side.🛁💤🫂 These relationships can form between siblings, lifelong companions, or cats who have grown close over time in the same environment.

While not every kitty duo is a bonded pair, those that are share a unique and inseparable connection. The type of connection I am sure we all feel toward our cats too💚

🐱 Today is National Cat Day. (not to be confused with International Cat Day that we celebrated in August, lol)

As professional pet sitters, we pride ourselves in learning and understanding dog and cat body language. This allows us to maintain a positive relationship with the pets in our care and decrease any stress they might have about making new human friends.

Over the years, we've learned that when a cat rubs on the faucet (kitchen, sink, bathtub, etc) it means YOU BETTER TURN THIS WATER ON FOR ME. lol. We will always have time to let your kitty get that fresh tap water or splash around a little bit.

It's National Pet Wellness Month💚 Do you know what habits make for a happy and healthy pet?🐶🐱

For pet wellness, enrichment is just as important as health. Without proper enrichment, animals can become anxious, depressed, or destructive. Focusing on health and enrichment together is essential, but may initially seem overwhelming or confusing. Here are some things you can focus on to ensure the overall wellness of your pets!

🩺Yearly vet checkups are great markers for overall health and wellness in a pet. They are a time to get feedback and ask questions about your pets.

🦴Proper nutrition means feeding high-quality foods and not over or under-feeding. Most people don't realize that obesity in animals can carry severe consequences and 56% of dogs and 50% of cats are considered overweight or obese.

🪥Dental health includes dental chews, tooth brushing, or even a soft gauze on your finger. This is something that is highly overlooked but dental disease can be extremely painful for animals and prevention is key.

☣️Having a safe environment means any toxic materials, medications, or foods are kept out of reach of your pets, including plants.

❤️Every animal is different, but the majority of household pets will require some level of bonding time to feel safe and secure with their owner.

🛁For our short-haired pets coat maintenance may be as simple as a quick brush or a bath. For others, brushing every day and going to groomers regularly is necessary to prevent painful mats in your pet's fur.

🚶Adequate exercise and proper nutrition ensure your pet's energy levels and weight are appropriate. It is also important for bone and joint health. This could look like playtime, daily walks, swimming, or anything else that gets your pets moving.

👃Finally, there will always be extra enriching stimuli you can work into your pet's routines. This can include scent enrichment, lick mats, wool balls, car rides, or really anything outside of a normal routine.

This may seem like a lot but the more you do the easier it will get and your pets will thank you💚

Safety first✔️ When going on a dog walk make sure you have your safety essentials!

✔️A leash is necessary for keeping control of your pup. A leash not only helps you control your pup from approaching other people or animals but also gives you control if an unfriendly pup approaches you. While some dogs are able to be fully managed with voice commands, it is always a good idea to keep your pup leashed, and in a lot of places leash laws exist.🐾

✔️Bringing a collapsible water bowl and cool water for your pup (and water for yourself as well) is always important but even more on hot days. Staying hydrated is key to having a safe walk.💧

✔️Poop bags may not seem like a safety item but without them you are not able to pick up your pets waste. This can lead to spreading of illnesses in other animals that may sniff or eat your pets waste and can also pollute local waterways.🗑

Other items that could be good to have nearby depending on what type of walk and what type of weather include
- A dog sweater
- A First Aid Kit
- Shoes for your pup
- Doggie wipes
- Treats

Our dog walkers make sure to monitor the weather and pack accordingly to ensure every dog walk is as safe as possible!💚

Do you know how beneficial dog walks are for your pup?

🐶Dog walks provide key socialization for your dog to continue to gain confidence. This socialization can come from exposure to other people, other animals, unknown scents, unknown sights, and loud or startling sounds. The more your pup experiences in a safe and positive environment the better.

🐶Frequent walks help with dogs' weight management, joint health, muscle growth, overall body condition, and mental health. The health benefits of dog walks are endless.

🐶When your pups lay around all day, they can get bored. This boredom can lead to destructive behaviors and higher levels of anxiety as a whole. A walk breaks up the days and provides your dog with mental and physical stimulation that can cut down on the negative consequences of boredom.

🐶Going on walks provides the perfect time to do basic training commands! Heel, stay, sit, and focus can all be good places to start when it comes to training on walks. Make sure to pack some training treats!

🐶Finally, walks are the perfect time to bond with your pup! Both of you strolling through the neighborhood or a park and enjoying the outdoors together can bring you closer together 💚
