It is a year since our guiding star left us. Here are some photos showing aspects of her life outside of her immediate and extended family. What was it that drew these new friends to her and into her four- legged world? For sure it was her confident, reassuring and peaceful nature. How do you square these super calm images with the fun loving action packed times we shared with her. That was life with Jaz.

Yesterday we, Jaz’s extended family, met up to speak about our 14 blessed years with her. Jaz’s Mum & dad Ali and Alan, her brothers Samuel & Olly, Samuels partner Kennedy Jane and myself. We now have her ashes. In the near future Ali & Alan plan to visit Dorset and scatter some of Jaz’s ashes in the Sea she enjoyed with such gusto and zest.

We lost our beloved Jaz on Friday last. She succumbed to a terminal condition which came upon her rapidly. We faced the awful decision which we knew to be right but which felt so terribly, terribly wrong. 14 years ago a small black bundle of fur came into our lives and changed things in very special and precious ways.
Streetwise from a young age she lived life to the full, whatever it was no half measures. Chasing a ball, swimming, crash diving into the canal, surfing the waves, running to greet you and meet you.
She gave us fun times, crazy times, peaceful times, and calming times. Boisterous, fun loving but steady as rock when it mattered she was one of us, one of our family.
An unshared ice cream will now be a very difficult task to complete.

It’s been a few years since town walks with Grandad…Jaz was today reunited with I think fair to say ( a best friend ) 🍦& Lovely Sue, she then managed to melt hearts for a pleasant lady’s left overs … and ours 🤩♥️… more in the old dog yet .. it was lovely to meet you Susan Noviello … it’s a shame she doesn’t savour the ice cream 😂
