We try to post donations in the order we receive them, but we had to change what we planned to post today due to a CAT-astrophic event that occurred in our kitchen last night. We know without a doubt that it was one big cons-purr-acy.
The human was in the back room when she heard a loud crashing sound, and when she walked into the kitchen, she found lots of our felines in catnip heaven. We have no doubt that this was cleverly planned by our cat crew. Wesley has learned that knocking things off of the counter will sometimes cause the lid to break, which is exactly what happened here. Our cats rolled around in catnip for hours last night! Most were happy to allow others in on the fun, but Violet did NOT want to share with Nutmeg. In the end, they all got their fair share of the nip, and the human spent quite some time cleaning the kitchen floor this morning.
We are VERY grateful to Cynthia for sending us two containers of this high-powered, super-duper catnip. It's not often that all 39 of our felines are happy at the same time, but this did the trick. The cat crew sends tons and tons of deliriously gleeful thanks to you, Cynthia! <3 <3
Sadie is our oldest feline. She is very set in her ways - she loves dinnertime, sleep and snuggles with the human. She doesn't like the other cats (uh oh!).
On occasion, she will surprise us and decide she wants to play - and we caught her in the act the other day. She loves this cat dancer sent to us from Rosanne for Christmas. We now have two cat dancers, and they have become a favorite toy with our cat crew.
Thank you for the fun gift, Rosanne!
Hello friends! We are SO grateful to all of you for all for the outpouring of support during Amazon Prime Days-the response was overwhelming!
A majority of packages we received arrived in rough shape (pretty much what you see in the video), and we are trying to sort through everything and figure out who sent what. We plan to contact everyone in the next two or three days to thank each of you for your generosity. If you don't hear from us by the end of the week, PLEASE reach out to us to let us know-several packages we received didn't have any note inside indicating who the sender was. We want to make sure to express our thanks to you!
While the human has happily been making room for all of the lovely donations, Juniper and the rest of the cat crew are having a terrific time with SOOOOO MANY BOXES! <3 <3
So.Much.Rain. Y'all, our area of Texas can't get a break! Last night we had a very intense storm blow through with lots of thunder and rain, and some very intense wind. The moment the skies turned dark, we brought our cats in from the cattery where they were safe in our house.
Having 39 cats inside is hard! They have different personalities, some are young and want to play, some are older and want to sleep, and not all of our felines get along. That's where toys and catnip come in handy. Last night we brought out one of their favorite toys, the cat dancer, sent to us by Cynthia Bond Boldt for their purr-thday party. This toy is fantastic! Our cats jump and swat and play with this magical toy until they are worn out! It's a wonderful toy for keeping their minds off of scary storms, too.
Cynthia, thank you for such a terrific toy! The cat dancer has provided our cat crew with hours and hours of play time!
What to do when it's storming and we can't go out in the cattery? We play with the super-fun toy that Susan gave us for our purr-thday party!! This toy has so many different features! Our favorite is the butterfly that flutters. There's also a feather that darts in and out of holes on the side of the toy, and there are balls to play with on the track on the bottom of it. There's a piece that can be snapped onto the underside of the toy that makes it wobble. We have so much fun playing! Thank you very much, Susan, for such a fantastic present!
Hi everyone! It's Kip and Kye, and we have big news. On Saturday we tested negative for FIV and FELV, we got fixed, vaccinated and microchopped, and we are now part of the cat crew! Jypsy has joined the family too, as her test results were negative as well! She wasn't available for this video because she's a little overwhelmed right now at her great big new fur family, and is a little shy right now.
Now that we are free to roam the house, we are doing zoomies all over the place. We spend our time exploring (and getting into) EVERYTHING. The human is exhausted-but happy. And we're happy to officially have our fur-ever home! <3 <3
Y'all! After 33 days of living out in this awful heat, and hiding from predators at dark, we finally trapped Jypsy last night. To say we are elated is an understatement.
As if that wasn't enough good news, we got in touch with the mobile vet unit this morning that Kip and Kye will be at on Saturday to get fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for FIV and FELV, and when we explained Jypsy's situation, the mobile vet clinic told us to bring her in.
Saturday will be a HUGE day for us. If FIV and FELV test results are negative, all three will be a permanent part of our family. Please say a little prayer and send pawsitive vibes for all to turn out well on Saturday. <3 <3
Our plan today was to post another lovely donation that we've received in the last month. Then this happened: while out in the cattery, Magic caught a locust, and then managed to sneak it past the human and into the house. Craziness ensued. We hope you enjoy! (It's much more funny with the sound turned up!)
Here's a little Friday happiness. Our amputee, Nikita, got into the catnip toys that Jeannie sent to us (we posted about them two days ago) before we could get a photo of everything. The human couldn't help but take a little video of Nikita in catnip heaven. She loves her toys! Thank you, Jeannie! <3 <3
It was a blue Christmas for the human due to losing Gia only four days before the holiday. But celebrate we did, and the human found a moment of joy that she managed to get video of.
Our brain-damaged Khan doesn't understand how to play with other cats. He simply has no concept of it, and he does little more than eat, sleep, and look to be pet. However, on this particular evening, Khan played, and it was wonderful. The video is a little dark due to poor lighting, but we hope you enjoy it.
We'll resume posting pictures from our purr-thday party in the next couple of days. <3 <3
BOO!
Happy Halloween from the cat crew!
Y'all, look at what we got from our friend Jeannie-a second Flippity Fish! Our fur kids absolutely LOVE their fishies! Thank you for making play time so special for our cat crew, Jeannie! <3 <3
Recently we received a very special surprise from our friend Jeannie. Flippity Fish has become Nutmeg's favorite toy-when she hears its electronic tail moving, she'll come running and ready to pounce! And it's not just Nutmeg who loves Flippity Fish-our cat crew loves to play with it. Thank you, Jeannie, for such a fun toy for our fur kids-it has made their play time even more fun!
