ut affording our clients, a team that understands the balance between the expectations of quality and customer service with real world economics. Our company is committed to providing developers, private owners, municipalities and asset managers a complete array of golf course and real estate management and consulting services. Abbott Golf Management also creates and manages everything golf for corporate America. “What makes us different is that we look at budgets that are already in place and we re-allocate the expenditures to maximize the experience of the members and guests. It’s the same money, just focused in a more effective way.”
Michael Abbott

Developers of private and residential golf clubs are challenged with the transition to be strong equity member clubs. The real estate development industry is currently in turmoil with a credit market contraction, expectations of equity partners and unsold property. For the golf clubs, this creates a decline in memberships and no chance of meeting ROI projections. The financial markets previously understood the real estate developers’ process of financing the development and management of project amenities even though it both increased the cash needs and the project timeline. The credit markets are looking for less risk and a quicker return. The challenge of meeting those expectations for the private club development industry will require exiting a project sooner, which requires a well thought out transition plan that meets all stakeholders’ expectations. Another challenge for the industry as a whole is the lack of operational centralization of various functions. These business functions include Home Owners Association management, accounting, payroll, materials and maintenance purchasing, golf instruction, event management, member services, human resources, and retail shop merchandising. Cost efficiencies are forcing courses of every size and stature to decrease services in hopes of increasing profitability. Restoring proper management and combining services will help golf courses attain their goals. While there are a number of golf management companies, it appears that there has been a void in the industry for a company that has the capacity and expertise to help golf course owners/members reach their goals. Today's culture has been taught to expect less in an environment in which
they deserve much more. Golf facilities as a whole were created as an escape
to a lifestyle that would take us away from the day to day grind. Today's golf and golf related real estate industry is managing to a theory that
says eliminating costly service increases financial security. This continues by
saying the quickest way to cut costs is to cut services. By executing
a less than standard way, golf principals are creating a disservice to their
members, guests and employees. Less benefits are not a responsible reaction to
today's economic times. The principals of Abbott Golf Management have shown that equivalent money
spent correctly on service can not only restore profitability, but actually elevate
the status of a club. The Abbott Golf Management business model is to create fiscal standards, labor
standards and service standards, which when equally set in motion, will restore
and grow a club's performance. Reallocating existing dollars to support the
needed service increases, will create the illusion that the club is spending
significant more dollars than the competition down the street. In
reality it is just implementing the proven techniques of Abbott Golf Management. Abbott Golf Management will become a disruptive force in the golf management
industry by using proven techniques in service and service delivery while keeping
budgets in line with expectations. What makes Abbott Golf Management different is as follows

• Our track record and experience in golf course management and events.
• Our ability to create an environment that brings all sides of an operation together.
• Our ability to attract strong personnel.
• Our mission to create the highest standards.
• Our creativity in implementing new ideas even if the train is moving.
• Creating a venue where the sales team utilizes the operational experience as an avenue to increase member/real estate sales.
• Our ability to mix fiscal responsibilities with outstanding service.
• Our experience at putting proven programming in place to create customer loyalty.
• Our understanding of how to restore a broken culture. Reputation is everything and taking our story to developers, golf

course managers and owners, existing private clubs, municipalities, bank asset

managers and corporate event managers, is based on interpersonal relationships

that have been cultivated over the last twenty years. Abbott Golf Management can analyze, review, plan, recommend and implement the following programs and activities associated with Golf Clubs and Golf Related Developments

After graduating from the University of Southern California with a degree in Business and an emphasis in marketing, Mr. Kaufman started his professional career in production on “The Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson. He went on to be a producer for Carson Productions, followed by working in network television at Fox, Universal and NBC. In 1993 Mr. Kaufman became the president of the Visitel Network, a public company broadcasting visitor and convention information in 10 markets across America. Kaufman was in charge of all business functions and over saw all production as well as sales and marketing. In 1999 Mr. Kaufman left Visitel and created International Media Services (IMS), a company dedicated to producing corporate events and meetings. One of International Media’s largest clients was the PGA of America. International Media was responsible for creating PGA TV, which started as a sales and marketing tool for the PGA to use at their annual merchandising show. Kaufman built several long-term relationships within the golf industry as a result of working for the PGA of America. International Media grew to be the largest producer of Convention programming and marketing in America at one time producing content and sales tools for shows like; COMDEX, INTEROP, THE SUPER SHOW, MAGIC, PGA, INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF SHOPPING CENTERS, NATPE, NAMM, NAB, CES and several others. In 2001 IMS focused in on corporate events ranging from golf tournaments to concerts and meetings and eventually built an international business doing events in Europe, Asia and Africa.
