Thank you all for your help, prayers, and support. At this time, due to the nature of the case, the defendant has requested the right to hire an attorney. So that being said, no information has been provided at this time in todays court hearing to the truth, Or whereabouts of Melitta. We understand the public is outraged and wants to know the truth as to what really happened pertaining to Melitta's alleged disappearance- so does the family- and we all want Melitta returned safely.

Defendant was in possession of a USA Air Force Airman (Elizabeth )Two dogs
who she paid for boarding and care of Melitta and Nymeria during her 6th month deployment- a Few days prior to coming back to USA, owner was told by defendant that while he was on a personal hike- Melitta allegedly escape from alleged teenagers who allegedly lost Melitta on a walk in the Greenbelt off Orebank in Kingsport, TN; the family is retaining counsel.

While we appreciate the kindness, support, prayers, and assistance of so many to help find Melitta- the owner of Melitta and her team involved- including search and rescue, and now attorney- ask the public to refrain from saying anything negative.
The case has been postponed to March, and we will update accordingly if any new information becomes available that is helpful to the safe return of Melitta.

Anyone having any information about Melitta, or her disappearance- can contact our page privately- and your name will not be mentioned. The family is offering a reward for the safe return of Melitta. If you have Melitta, and you are scared to come forward- don't be- we just want Melitta back safely. If you acquired Melitta somewhere or somehow- we just want her back- and we will work with you to get her back. Thank you for your time. Today is Melitta’s 11th birthday. A day normally full of birthday treats, pup cups, new toys, and trail walks or hikes. She is so loved and very missed and it has left me heartbroken there are still no sightings or updates about her since we were told she is missing. Thank you all for the continued prayers, positive thoughts, suggestions, and those who are still helping look. It means so much to us. We still try to hold onto hope she is still alive out there. Today we still celebrated you baby girl, even found a new place to walk and explore with your baby sister and baby brother (last picture).

We do have a court date in Tennessee the 29th of January and any prayers and support would be appreciated the closer we get that something good comes out of that day.

After Christmas and going into the New Year, I keep hoping and praying Melitta is still alive and out there. I’m still asking for continued prayers and positive thoughts she is still alive out there please, and continued help to look for any signs or news of her.

Every day we hope and pray you will be found and come home to us baby girl. Melitta Joy you are so loved and missed and we would give anything to have you back home safe with us. There is still a $2000 reward offered for her safe return, or information leading to her safe return. She was being watched during the 6 month deployment at Burwind Ct in Kingsport, TN from April to October. Another week without any sightings of Melitta. 😔 Continued prayers, searching, and positive hopes she is still out there are appreciated. There have been so many kind people sharing her information, and sending in any found husky posts. It truly means a lot. Reward increased to $1500 for safe return of Melitta or information and proof of what happened to her. Last seen in area of Burwind Ct in Kingsport, TN. Reported lost, by slipping out of her collar, in Orbank area of the green belt.

If anyone knows anything or is familiar with the area I’m desperate to find her. As always, thank you for the continued help, prayers, and positive hope we find her.

Welcome to the “Justice For Melitta The Husky Page”. We will adding more information soon. This page is dedicated to helping the owner of Melitta get to the bottom of what really happened to Melitta and seek Justice.

Nothing that was told to her about Melitta’s disappearance - adds up. So, this is going to be a page where we try and get all the facts on one page, and help support and Air Force Airman whose dog was “allegedly walked and lost”- by pet sitters friends- or some teenagers- at the Kingsport, TN Greenbelt just a few days prior from coming home from Deployment overseas. The Search And Rescue Team hasn’t had 1 lead, or sighting- and covered the green belt area via drone, and flyers- signs- no sign of Melitta. If- and that’s using If with hope- the pet sitter was telling truth- and Melitta was lost on greenbelt- he won’t give us teenagers parent’s names to ask to meet with the parents and their teenagers- to get exact location Melitta allegedly slipped her collar and went running- and was lost- Pet Sitter has done nothing- tohelp- no apologies- no looking- he claims its not his fault she went missing. Yes it was- because he was paid to board the dogs and he claims he decided to go hiking with his personal dogs and had two teenagers walk Melitta and sister Nymeria. Both Huskies- and Pet sitter used an old collar on Melitta that wasn’t hers- and she allegedly slipped out. Police report has been made, and an attorney is being hired. Please keep eyes and ears open. Melitta is a female, 10 yrs old, spayed, and microchipped.
