Happy to announce that after a week on the vitamin E, Qwackers is feeling much better 😊

Another Update on Qwackers! I started the Vitamin E and Selenium on Tuesday and I'm happy to announce that it seems to be working! She was walking around and eating on her own today. She does still lose control and flip backward every once in a while. But today marked significant improvement. Fingers crossed that she continues to get better!

Qwackers breathing. She having issues with the right nostril. Where the bone was broken. May look into having surgery done on her beak to make her breathing easier for her. 😊

Qwackers is still eating on her own, haven't had to tube feed her for the last three feedings. I also moved her to the garage for a fee hours today, so she can get used to walking around and navigating her surroundings with one eye. She also had a bath today and went out side for a few hours to enjoy some sunshine 😊

Guess who's not getting tube fed tonight!!!! Only ate a few mouthfuls and a couple watermelon cubes. But now I know she will eat. So I'm not going to tube feed her tonight. Maybe if she gets a little hungry tonight, she will eat more in the morning! She's doing soooo good and healing up well! #teamqwackers

Qwackers got a hair..... errrrrrr..... feather cut today. lol Today marks a week since she was attacked and she much less painful so we were able to do a much better clean up job. So as the scabs and dead skin start sloughing off in the coming days it will be easier to keep clean. Now she looks like a little bald man. 😂😂 #teamqwackers

Yesterday Qwackers had a rough day, she was a little depressed and lethargic. Just wasn't quite herself. Today, however, she improved by leaps and bounds! She ate watermelon. It was the first time she didn't just pick at the food, she actually ate it. I had to break it into small bite-sized pieces. And feed her by hand. But she ate every single piece I offered her and still wanted more. I offered her some duckling crumbles (her normal duck feed) as well, but she was less interested in that and just picked at it. So I'm still continuing to tube feed her to give her the proper nutrition. She was very interactive and attentive this evening. This whole road to recovery has been a two steps forward and one step back, today it was a big leap forward! #teamqwackers

She was staring to pick at some normal food today. She taste tested one of her favorite snacks fresh out of the garden. 😊

A little under the weather today. She needed a pick me up so she got a bath. Lol 😊 Seems to be feeling better already.

She's doing so well this morning. Took her outside for some fresh air. She seemed to enjoy being outdoors. Stretched, flapped her wings a couple times, and start pecking around in the grass. 😊
