Gus had his freedom ride all the way from Arkansas, and he’s already stealing hearts! He’s estimated to be between 8–12 weeks old and weighs just under 8 lbs and is super tiny compared to what we usually see at the shelter.

Though he’s small, Gus is mighty! He played nonstop with his puppy pal during the drive, holding his own despite his teeny size. This little guy is clumsy, playful, and oh-so-entertaining. He has the funniest quirks, like falling asleep best when held up in the air for a few minutes and doing everything he can to get a taste of Starbucks.

Gus is currently working through some skin issues, but that doesn’t slow him down one bit. What he really needs now is a patient, loving home ready to guide him through the puppy stages and give him the forever family he deserves. In return, he’ll bring endless energy, joy, and laughter.

This beautiful smile belongs to Bella, a 1½-year-old Great Pyrenees mix who deserves the world.

Bella’s life hasn’t been easy. She came from a situation where she wasn’t properly cared for, and while a kind neighbor made sure she had food, she was missing the love and security every dog should know. We thought Bella had found her happy ending with her buddy Buck, but it turns out she’s happiest as the only pet where she can finally be the center of someone’s world.

Bella is affectionate, gentle, and a true cuddler. She loves her walks, adores her people, and has lived with kids and cats. What she needs most now is a family to give her the unconditional love and forever home she’s been waiting for.

She’s been let down before — let’s make sure this time, Bella’s story has the happy ending she deserves.

Charley may be a little older, but he’s the kind of dog who proves that age only brings wisdom and love. This 9-year-old Golden Retriever/Bloodhound mix is gentle, loyal, and has the sweetest soul.

He’s extremely dog-friendly, loves all the attention people can give, and rides in the car like a champ. Since shelter life was stressful for him, he’s enjoying the comfort of a foster home, where he’s adjusting beautifully and showing what a wonderful companion he can be.

Charley is the type of dog who can fit right into almost any family — he’s happy to love kids, dogs, and people alike. All he needs now is a forever home where he can finally relax and soak up the affection he deserves.

Richie after arriving from Arkansas, and he’s already stealing hearts left and right! This sweet boy is 3–4 months old, weighs 26 lbs, and with those big paws, we’re guessing he’s a Great Dane mix – so he’ll likely grow into a big, beautiful dog.

Despite his young age, Richie already has wonderful manners. He knows how to sit and lay down! He’s observant, smart, and tilts his head as if he’s trying to understand every word you say.

Richie is playful, affectionate, and ready to be someone’s best friend for life. Whoever adopts him is going to be very lucky!

Rowen is a one-year-old, 75-lb mix of many breeds—but he’s 100% sweet, goofy, and lovable. When his former owner no longer wanted him and planned to drop him at animal control, a kind neighbor stepped in and brought him to us. Since then, Rowen has been winning hearts left and right.
This playful guy is full of affection and has a fun, goofy personality that shines in the yard. He may be a little unsure around some dogs, but with continued training and support, he has all the makings of a wonderful family pet. While he still needs some basic training, he’s already responding beautifully to the time and care our volunteers have given him.
Rowen has been with us for a bit now, and we’re hoping the perfect family will see him for the gem he is. With a little guidance and a lot of love, he’s going to be an incredible companion.

Elsa is a young Great Pyrenees, likely under a year old and weighing around 65 lbs. She was found as a stray and, despite our best efforts, no one came forward to claim her.
When she arrived, it was clear she had been through a rough patch—she had been shaved, likely due to severe matting, and still had mats around her neck and ears. But even with that past, Elsa has shown nothing but love.
She is truly one of the most affectionate and loving dogs we’ve had. She thrives on human connection and will make a wonderful family pet. Due to her strong desire for attention, she may do best as an only pet in the home.

Buster has always been a good boy, but with love, patience, and training, he’s now shining brighter than ever. He and his trainer recently passed the Level 1 Basic Obedience Test – and that’s not all… his trainer is also donating a free one-on-one training session to Buster’s lucky adopter!

Buster is a 2-year-old Chocolate Lab mix weighing about 65 lbs. He’s playful, smart, and eager to please. He’d thrive with an active family that can give him plenty of playtime, exercise, and continued guidance as he shows off his skills.

This 3-year-old Great Pyrenees mix is not only stunning—she’s also full of fun skills! Gracie can catch treats mid-air, sit like a pro, walk beautifully on leash, loves walks, and will gaze at you with the kind of adoration that melts hearts. She’s also a champion couch-warmer and loyal shadow, happiest when her people are near.

But let’s be honest—Gracie has one more talent we didn’t exactly teach her: she can climb fences if they offer any kind of foothold (looking at you, chain-link!). Because of her climbing ability, she must have a secure, 6-foot fence—no chain link, no exceptions.

Her biggest wish is for a family where someone is home most of the time. She thrives on companionship and would love a home with kids to adore and possibly a canine buddy to keep her company.

Dave is a 6 year old Akbash with a calm presence and a peaceful soul. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need much: just a soft spot to nap, a little sunshine, and someone nearby who loves him.

He enjoys simple pleasures: lounging in the yard, relaxing on the couch, and soaking up quiet companionship. He’s not demanding or high-energy, he’s just looking for a home where he can feel safe, loved, and completely at ease (no kids please).

Dave does have a wheat allergy, so you’ll need to read food labels, but otherwise he’s healthy and low-maintenance. And because he’s been with us longer than he should, his adoption fee has been reduced to $250 in hopes that the right person will give him the forever home he deserves.

Every once in a while, a dog comes along who just sticks with you. For us, that’s Tony.

Tony is a 3-year-old, 70 lb Anatolian Shepherd mix with a smile big enough to light up the whole shelter. He’s incredibly sweet, outgoing, and full of life. Whether he’s getting ear rubs, showing off his goofy grin, or trotting proudly on a walk, Tony has a way of making you fall for him instantly.
He lives for attention, affection, treats, and time with his people. This boy is all about connection. He’s happiest when he has a human by his side and he gives that love right back tenfold.
Tony is strong and enthusiastic, and while he’s working on his leash manners (and improving!), he’ll need someone who can provide consistent training and structure. Unfortunately, a lack of that structure is what brought him back to us. But we know there’s a family out there who will be the right fit for this incredible dog.

He’d do best as the only pet in the home, where he can soak up all the love without sharing the spotlight. He’d also thrive with older kids who can help him burn off energy and share in the fun.

Our Medical Fund Needs Your Help

This year alone, we’ve already spent $69,190 on medical care for our dogs which included two major surgeries (an ACL repair and a sock retrieval!). Last year’s total was $90,884, and at the pace we’re going, we’ll surpass that soon.

On average, our standard vetting: shots, heartworm test, microchip, and spay/neuter all of which costs about $1,000 per dog. Our adoption fees don’t even cover these basic expenses, much less the emergencies that always come up.

Right now, our Medical Fund is running low, and we can’t continue helping dogs without your support.
