Our Story
Welcome to Progressive Paws, a dog training school owned by me, Kelly Murrell. Here's a little bit about me and my training: Since 2012 I have been lucky enough to be coached and mentored by two truly inspirational trainers; Lauren Langman and Tom Mitchell. Absolute Dogs is their online training academy which boasts students from across the globe. I am part of the Pro Dog Trainer movement. Pro Dog Trainer is a worldwide network of trainers who are affiliated with Absolute Dogs and their training ideas and methodology. I’m excited to show and share the most up-to-date, forwarding thinking, innovative reward and games based training with you. Who would have thought games could lead to real life results in dog training! It really can! The key to progression in dog training is inspired learning; if you love what you are doing, you’ll train your dog, leading to a super well trained dog, which leads to you wanting to train your dog more….. and so the self-fulfilling cycle continues! The goal of dog training is that its reinforcing for our dogs AND US!! Whether you have just introduced a bundle of puppy joy into your life, need a training top up or are facing a training struggle my aim is to grow your skills, knowledge and learning as a dog trainer so that you achieve your goals. Where I train: I am lucky enough to have access to the Victoria Therapeutic Riding Association's training arena on Veyaness Road in Saanichton, BC, Canada. For one on one Coaching I can offer home visits.
