We have succeeded (and exceeded) what we set out to do: Our mission statement issued 17 years ago reads "to change the way people feed their pets". There are hundreds of companies making and selling real food for dogs because of the pioneering work we did. Our original, frozen, human grade line of Doggy Cuisine has proven to be invaluable to many pet owners and is still avail

able at select grocery and pet specialty and online at www.rudygreens.com and amazon. And now we are disrupting the market again, in a much smaller, but equally impactful way: creating the awareness that "one size does not fit all" for pets (nor people). The "complete and balanced for all life stages" standard for pet foods is utter nonsense- common sense tells you that the nutrition required by a chihuahua is not the same as a German Shepherd. Utilizing state of the art software, a network of holistic veterinary experts, and 2 decades of manufacturing experience, we are improving lives with our Custom Cuisine line. These tools allow us to formulate and prepare (truly) complete and balanced meals for individual dogs, based on their unique physiology and any diagnosis or conditions...using ONLY real food. Rudy Green's Doggy Cuisine™ "Home Cooking for Dogs" is the original HUMAN EDIBLE product made for dogs to be offered in major grocery chains and pet retailers in 2006. Made in a USDA/FDA inspected human food facility in Louisville, KY, each of our 5 recipes have at most 8 ingredients; all recognizable as food, with no additives, fillers, preservatives, or by-products. This gently cooked “stew” is packaged and sold frozen in a 24 oz. box containing 4 individual pouches, making it a convenient, safe way to add real nutrition to a dry/highly-processed diet. Pet lovers have grown increasingly distrustful of commercial pet food companies and wary of the marketing/labeling claims. It is time for common sense to be restored about food, and for complete transparency, honesty and integrity in manufacturing. And that is what we are all about.

Our Story

This company was founded in 2006 by longtime animal rescue worker Karla Haas with a dual mission; to change the way we feed our pets by creating the first real human grade food for dogs, and to help animals in need through the proceeds of sales.

Why is it called Rudy Green’s? Because of love for a big brown dog, name Rudy Green.

We have been in retail locations since 2006 and on amazon since 2008. Our food is made in a USDA/FDA inspected human food facility (no other dog food can say this) in Louisville, KY. Each of our 5 recipes have at most 8 ingredients; all recognizable as food, with no additives, fillers, preservatives, or by-products. This gently cooked “stew” is packaged and sold frozen in a 24 oz. box containing 4 individual pouches, making it a convenient, safe way to add real nutrition to a dry/highly-processed diet.

We are dedicated and passionate about the welfare of animals- and our products have not only funded animal rescue efforts but have improved and saved lives through its use. Pet lovers have grown weary of misleading advertising and confusing labels from pet food companies and concerned about what they are feeding their fur-babies. It is time for common sense to be restored about food, and for complete transparency, honesty and integrity in manufacturing, with true concern for the welfare of animals. And that is what we are all about.
