** Adopt Angus **
Do you need someone to talk to? Someone to go for walks or someone to cuddle up on the couch with?
Angus is for you!
Of course, Angus is neutered, microchipped, and fiv/felv negative. He is about 1 to 2 years young, playful, and well socialized with other cats and dogs. Our cats are looking for indoor only homes, but if it is safe to take Angus for a walk where you live or have him join you in your yard, it is great.
However, Angus does not ask to go outside and would be perfectly content to be indoors only. He would like a friend in his new home, so you either already have a cat or are open to adopting two.
The adoption fee for Angus is $ 150.00
If you think you can offer him a loving forever home as your new family member, please go to our website at www.justcareanimalrescue.org and fill out our online application.
Our Keegan is almost three years old now!
Which is amazing after given just one year.
He was an owner surrender and came to us about two years ago. After being diagnosed with a severe heart murmur and
also being aggressive towards the other cats in the household, Keegan needed to be rehomed by his owner.
Keegan came to us and was seen by our vet as well as a cardiologist. He was diagnosed with three heart conditions and given about a year to live. While the beginning was rough, because he was extremely "grumpy" to other cats and humans, he has since adjusted and changed his tune.
He is on three daily medications and doing amazingly well.
Keegan is a character and definitely the boss. But he has learned manners and how to keep his temper in check so everyone can live together in harmony. Which is a must around here. He has so much joy and is playful and inquisitive. Keegan lives inside my house and is one of our permanent sanctuary cats. I am grateful for every day of having him.
Complete takeover!
Way to cold to go outside.
How about some good old Washington rain and warmer temperatures, please?
Little Furby's attempt to play? 🤣
EVERYONE likes their barn tonight, and Bubba is sure getting used to his.
Spent most of the last two says prepping for the storm to come. Even though there is a lot of different info out there currently. But with this many animals, get ready for the worst and be happy if it doesn't come.
I certainly enjoy my evenings in front of the wood stove much more without worrying, at least about our animals. Knowing they are all dry and warm, with a little extra food and treats, makes me as happy as them.
Saddens me, though, to see the posts about dogs running in the streets, knowing they are likely dumped and don't know where to go. Just came across another one in the Tumwater area near 113th street, this one is even injured and running on mostly three legs in the road in the rain. I don't know what is going on with people to just abandon their animals. Shame on them!
Thank you Sandi for making the drive to Tacoma this morning to bring these two kittens to us. And thank you Dawn for your help as well! Very cool, when people get together to help. You're awesome!
As you can see in the video, the one kitten is missing most of it's front right leg. Hard to tell how this happened or if it was born that way. Our vet will have to take a look and further assess if anything needs to be done.
Welcome to our three new Cornish hens.
