Meet Stormy. About 8 weeks old. Her mom, a kitten herself, decided it was safe enough to bring her two kittens to my home. I was able to catch this one a couple weeks ago. She is now house trained and loving the safety of the home. I have been trying to catch the mom and sibling but they are having no part of it right now. I will keep trying.

Meet Lilly-Liberty. Abandoned by her csre-taker and put out on the street. I was able to convince them to let me have her and the other. She will be spayd very soon and brought current on shots. She is high energy but very sweet. Didnt take much for her to become a house dog.

Please check under your cars, clear your garage or shed before securing it as well as any other item that an animal could use to hide in from the weather, heat or rain. My neighbor, who has a structure she chooses to call a garage is complaining that it smells like cat p*e. Strays will shelter any where available, including under your house. Please, just "love they neighbor" and choose acts of kindness: put out bowls of water and let the homeless shelter where they can!

Most of the country is in an oven right now with no relief in sight.

Community cats may hide out under your car for shade, especially if they’re in an area without a lot of shady spots. Our property has a lot of trees and shade and the Yard Cats are still seeking shade under the Jeep.

Be sure to check under your car before going anywhere, even if you just popped into the store for five minutes. Doing so may just save a life. ♥️

PS..The cat in the picture is our very own Domino aka Dom Juan, who was under my Jeep rather than the hundreds of shady spots on our property.

Recently, I have been asked if I take in other peoples cats and/or kittens. The answer is simply "no". I have a very small rescue that functions off my personal income. The animals I rescue come from the immediate community neighborhood I live within and have been abandoned and neglected by their owners, or they are strays obtained through TNR (trap, neuter, and release). Some of the TNR rescues become refugees, or "sanctuaried", due to their age and health issues. The goal is to find safe happy loving forever homes as committed to their emotional and physical well being as their refuge.
