Unlike humans and dogs, cats can't go without eating. In just 24 to 48 hours without food, a cat may develop hepatic lipidosis, a serious liver disease.

You should make food adjustments slowly. A cat should not lose more than 1% of their weight per week.

Keep your cats active by playing with them on a regular basis. Be sure to leave out stimulating toys for independent play.

Just because your cat may be on a diet does not mean that you have to deprive them of treats.

Here’s an idea. Cats love to hunt so nurture their hunt with hidden treats. Hide treats around your house in various places.

Just think, your cat will actually be getting exercise while hunting those delicious treats.
