Thought I would do a post, with a bit about me for those that have recently jumped on this page

My name is Alice, I have been a Veterinary Nurse for small and large animals for 15 years
Absolutely love it!

I got in to the doodle fondling a few years ago
I have never put my prices up in the many years I have been doing this, as animal welfare and comfort is most important to me

When you use my Happy Hand services, you are supporting my large animal rescue Rodney Animal Rescue

I may not be able to get to you fast, or sometimes I need to postpone due to the rescue, and the animals we get in but I will always find a way to get to your lads - Whether I make a special trip just to get to your horse

Feel free to always leave a review of how happy your lad was after his special fo**le

Those that guessed 'maggots in pen*s/sheath'

Are correct

This is happening quite a bit lately around the country
This lad had his bean removed about 2 months ago

Maggots can get in places you don't even think of... it definitely isn't just with the woolly animals 😉

I have placed photo/videos in comments... only look if you can ...

Forgot to post yesterday but made it back home after a 12 hour day on the road 🤪

This bean definitely takes the cake for the meaning of 'Doodle clean this weekend was like a Valentines gift from owners' with being a cute heart shape ❤️

But you can see the dent in where it was causing a bit of discomfort for this lad

Afterwards he literally looked around and stared towards his flank as if to go ..... what in the world just happened, but I feel soo good!
And then trotted strutting his stuff as if he had won the lottery 🤣

Absolutely love seeing how happy horses are, when their uncomfortable bean has been extracted 🥰

With Easter here, it means 2 things... extra long weekend and chocolate 🍫

So much chocolate to be had, but we must all be mindful of chocolate and our dogs

Please ensure your dogs do not consume chocolate - especially dark chocolate

Please ensure kids do not feed chocolate to dogs when not looking

If your dog has consumed chocolate please ring your nearest after hours vet clinic, so they can advise you, on what to do

For all my fellow Veterinarians and Nurses out there, atleast this time of year means the vomit always smells sweeter ;) and we don't need to hold our breath so much ❤

They will be weekend runs in your locations, due to running Rodney Animal Rescue I can only do weekend doodle cleans at the moment instead of full week away just due to the animals we have in currently

Can you please all comment with your location and how many geldings and let's get these dates rolling 🥳

It is $45 per gelding - if multiple geldings on one property it is cheaper 🐴

Morning everyone

Many of you don't know, but I also run a large animal rescue, mainly rescuing horses 🥰🐴

Sorry to everyone if I haven't gotten back to you in regards to the sheath cleaning run that I had to postpone, and organise a new date once this boy is out of the woods and I can focus

I will get back to you all in time 🥰

But if your gelding is urgent or needs sedation, please get a veterinarian to see your gelding

Looking at April 2022 so will be in touch

It has been a long time since I have posted

Good ol lockdown has graced us with its presence which being in Auckland I am umable to travel beyond the boundaries, fingers crossed I can be able to soon!

Many of you don't know, but I also run a large animal rescue charity called Rodney Animal Rescue which most of my time gets devoted to this and caring for our rescue animals that we have in.

I have been keeping myself pretty busy in lockdown and helping owners with their animals where I am able to 🥰

I got to look after a gorgeous cat one weekend on IV fluids to monitor - such a laid back carefree cat, and loved being handfed in bed - O the luxuries 🤣
To now having Alpacas here as caring for one with a minor wound 🦙
Alpacas really are a species I love! Such quirky personalities!

I do aim to travel around the north island again to clean some sheaths and check for beans ;) and meet many more wonderful people and horses 🥰 hoping for early December now as October couldn't happen

Hope everyone is well, and keeping safe 🥰

We live in an amazing country!

Ending in Hawkes Bay today
Hawkes Bay have taken out the biggest bean collection of the run with today nearly every gelding I saw, had a bean and is feeling a lot happier 🥰

If you missed out having your geldings done this run, I am aiming to come back in October or December
If you are getting your vet to sedate for dentist or x-rays etc, please get them to check for a bean at the least whilst they are attending your horse under sedation

Here are some photo collection of beans from today, some I didn't have phone to take photos but was a satisfying trip

Some beans are small in photos, but were actually big for the gelding which they came out of
The dark purple colouration is due to the bean actually so big that it was reaching outside of the pouch
