Nico you are so stunning! ❤️ I am so honored to be training such a fancy boy! We have been taking the last four months to develop a relationship and the riding has been a bit slow because of saddles and such but now I feel like we have turned the corner. ⭐️

Rovandio update…my sweet boy is happy and healthy at 22 years old and loving all this Florida grass and sunshine! He just had coffin joint injections so I am hoping that helps him feel more comfortable and that we can paint again soon. ⭐️

This past year we have taken a bit of a break from art on horseback, he has been doing light riding work to stay limber but I can feel the age settling in now so we take it day by day. 💖

I have known him since the day he was born and he will be with me always. He has been giving lessons to some of my advanced students and they love his patience and ride ability. ⭐️

I am so grateful to the team of professionals that help keep him in great shape…he gets regular chiropractic, acupuncture, Magna wave, and everything else in between. 😊 It takes a village!

Throwback to an earlier Art on Horseback canvas with Rovandio. ❤️ The entire idea to paint on horseback was an idea that popped into my mind one day and took two years to even give it a try. Over a decade later and Rovandio is still my best art partner. ❤️

Have you ever watched a freestyle and felt like the horse was rushing to catch up with the music? 🎶 Or perhaps the music did not connect to the horse’s stride and sounded more like background music?

Typically this is due to a mismatch when it comes to a songs beats and your horse’s hoofbeats. 🐴

To find your horse’s BPM (beats per minute) for a musical freestyle: count how many times the horse’s front inside leg hits the ground in 60 seconds. ⏱️

OR

Use a BPM app like I do and find it on-the-go. I also use the app to check potential freestyle songs to see if they will match my horse. ❤️
