We were lucky to have little Luna stay with us for her holidays☀️ and what an amazing 10 of weather we had! A holiday romance between Bear and Luna blossomed and Luna was very caring towards Tarn who wasn’t very well and she even kissed his shaved belly! To start with Luna didn’t like the hose or the sprinkler however after a couple of days with my crazies she got stuck in, she learnt to demolish her dinner and not be a diva as there were 4 other eyes eyeing it up😂 (6 including Ross) and to come in from the garden when she was told and not hide under the sun lounger🤣 we didn’t quite get over how scary the hoover is however she did a great job at fitting in to a household with 2 other BIG dogs!! Bear may have chunks of fur missing from his tail and mane from a little certain someone hanging off of him however we will all miss the little madam running around! 💕💕💕

Be careful guys!! ⚠️⚠️⚠️

Don’t leave dogs outside or in cars and make sure if you are walking them during the day you limit the amount of time on pavements and make sure you’re walking in the shade!

⚠️Heat Wave Alert!⚠️

With the temperatures rising, please be aware that all dogs can easily overheat, in particular brachycephalic breeds as listed below!

Warning signs to look for:

🔹Excessive or loud panting
🔹Extreme thirst
🔹Thick saliva
🔹Vomiting
🔹Increased heart rate
🔹Bright red tongue & pale gums

To prevent your dog from over heating, walk your dog during the cooler hours (early morning or evening) & on soft ground rather than pavement to protect their paw pads.

It is also suggested that using frozen ice packs or frozen water to cool your dog down can have the opposite effect, therefore cool water is sufficient.

⚠️Remember⚠️ - dogs don't sweat like humans & have to pant & sweat through their paws to cool down making it much more difficult for them!
