🎄 Meet Tank – A Sweet Boy in Search of His Forever Home 🏠🤩🐾

Tank, a stunning 4-year-old Pit Bull, is longing for a family to call his own. Currently at Paw Prints Rescue and Rehoming, Tank is struggling to cope with shelter life. His cries at night and desperate scratches at his door speak volumes about his heartbreak, and it’s clear he’s yearning for the love and comfort of a home. Tank is a majestic boy with a gentle soul who absolutely adores people. Described as a big teddy bear, he’s ready to give his heart entirely to the right family. We are certain his perfect match is out there, and we need your help to find it.

Tank would thrive in a home where he’s the only pet, as he prefers to have his humans all to himself. Given his size and strength, a family with older children and experience with the breed would be ideal.
Adopting Tank isn’t just giving him a home—it’s giving him the life he deserves. It’s part of our Outreach campaign, which makes every adoption a victory. If we can find Tank his forever home, it would be a dream come true for us and for him.

If you’re ready to make Tank’s dream come true or know someone who might be, please contact Paw Prints Rescue and Rehoming via WhatsApp ONLY at 060 685 0889. Let’s show Tank what it means to be truly loved and cherished.

Together, we can make a life-changing difference for this sweet boy. Please share Tank’s story and help us find him the loving home he so desperately needs.

2024 REPORT: AND THAT’S A WRAP – 4661 STERILISATIONS FUNDED AND CONDUCTED!

This is a 34.4% increase from the 3057 sterilisations funded in 2023 (1949 in 2022). 1820 of these were done in collaboration with our awesome ‘sister organisation’, . We are also so grateful to for coming on board with very generous donations towards several of our projects.

Once again our funding has seen us go all over SA – from Cape Town and Gauteng to the farthest reaches on the border of Botswana and then KZN, Wild Coast and the Karoo.

Besides the funding for organisations closer to metropoles, our greatest successes have seen our strategy towards Pet Population Management in very remote, indigent communities bear fruit – areas like Graafwater (West Coast), Frasers (Tongaat), Greyton (Overberg) and Willowmore (Karoo). Much happier and healthier pets and the ongoing aim to achieve 80% of pets sterilised so that only ‘maintenance’ will now be required in these areas (ongoing 2025 projects).

We also launched our most ambitious project yet – approximately 2300 animals to be sterilised in 6 phases in Port Alfred (up to early 2026). This has been set up by the incredible Dr Roos who is clearly not prepared to retire yet. 302 sterilisations were conducted in Phase 1 and Doc Roos is now engaging with the organisations on the ground in respect of a proper census and the plan going forward.

As this year draws to a close we extend an enormous THANK YOU to all the people that have made this possible – our fundraisers, YOU our supporters who have made this possible in the first place, the unrelenting efforts of our 2024 beneficiary organisations and incredible consulting vets who work tirelessly on the ground to improve the lives of the less fortunate animals on our streets:

- DR ANNELIZE ROOS (vet extraordinaire and Advisor to NSP)
- BRIGITTE REEVE-TAYLOR (the incredible founder of Dancers Love Dogs)
- Vetsol (consulting vets)
- EnviroVet CVC (consulting vets)
- CAT Garden Route (feral cat assist)

Due to the number of requests regarding pending adoptions, adoptions, adoption updates , sponsorships and those up for adoption,
we thought we should share our social media schedule relating to these posts with you, so you can all know the days and times to check for updates, should you miss them in your feed.

As mentioned many times, we have a small team try to keep on top of everything, so we do not always have the capacity to answer queries immediately. We take our social media very seriously and will always ensure that the information is factual and truthful.

We are forever grateful to our loyal supporters and followers who share and network our adoption posts continuously.

❤️❤️ DEMI ❤️❤️
“Cape Town, meet Demi 😍 Your Perfect Cuddle Companion ❤️ Demi is a young adult Pibble cross who’s the perfect mix of playful and affectionate 😊 She loves a good cuddle, whether it’s napping with her head on your lap or curling up on your chest—preferably under a blanket 😘 Highly intelligent and eager to please, Demi is a quick learner who already knows commands like "lie down," "paw," and "turn around” 🥰

Though not a fan of fetch, she adores tug-of-war and chew toys 😊 Demi enjoys walks, especially up a mountain trail, but sometimes just loves to sniff around and take in the world ❤️ A beach girl at heart, she loves splashing in the waves but needs a rinse after due to her sensitive skin 🙏❤️

Her favorite spots? Spread out in the sun, near her people, on the couch, and in her bed 🥰 She’s great at self-regulation, often grabbing her chew toy to calm down after getting excited ❤️ Demi adjusts her play style depending on who she’s with, making her the ultimate thoughtful companion 🥰 Plus, she’s a sucker for the end of a banana or a piece of cheese—her two favorite treats 😘❤️”

Demi is available for adoption from TEARS Animal Rescue in Sunnydale, Cape Town South Peninsula. Adoption fee and successful homecheck etc apply.
