Humans, we need your help, again 😵‍💫. We just received a call regarding a cat that needs to be uplifted. This is on request from the health department to the owner and the owner needs his cat safe.

We have told him that we would go out on monday after we've fed and cleaned our animals.

Our only problem now is the funds for petrol to get there. It is just over an hours drive, 80km one way.

The costs for petrol will be almost R1000 to get there and back. Yes our vehicle is quite heavy on petrol 😖.

If you are in any position to help out towards this expense, we would be forever grateful 🙏🏽. Only thing we would ask is for an immediate clearance if you can help, this is due to weekend time and any normal payments done now will only reflect in our account on Tuesday. Immediate clearance takes a few min and it there for our travel before Monday.

DARCY hasn’t much going for him; he isn’t cute or good looking. He looks ok now but he didn’t always look like this and has endured suffering and hardship throughout his entire young life.

Darcy wasn‘t wanted and was one of the thousands of unwanted puppies in the township. He was sold as a puppy to a boy for 50 cents who took him home, but the boy’s Mom didn’t want him so he lived outside sleeping on the doormat, fed sometimes but often not.
This was his life. As he grew he discovered he could find food on the rubbish dumps and this is where we found him, dehydrated and malnourished seeking for food.

Darcy is 1/2 years old and has been sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. He needs to find a safe home where he can be the dog he was meant to be. He is a nice dog, just wanting to be friends with everyone, both human and canine of all genders and all ages.

Darcy doesn’t stand much of a chance to be adopted but we are trying for his sake.

This lovely Daxie/Basset male was surrendered. After a lifetime (5+-) yrs.

SIGHCY is the sweetest 6/7 years old boy. Loves car rides and love walking on leash.
He gets along with other dogs, loves running and is very playful.

We now need to find him a forever home.
Please take stunning Sighcy home!

Dear New human Mommy and Daddy…..
This is a little background history/story about me – LUNA

I turned one years old in July
I am a dachshund cross (I suspect crossed with a Jack Russell)
I am black and tan with some white on my chest
I love following my humans around
I am house trained (but when it rains I don’t like the wet grass and might make an oopsie in the house)
I love playing with my red bouncy ball (I love fetch)
I love to sleep close to my human
I am a nervous dog and I don’t like too much movement around me

Luna has IBS/IBD therefore she is on a strict diet – She can only eat the Hills ID food and the wet ID food (she loves the stew).
She is not allowed any other food or treats
Her IBS was diagnosed early in the year and it is triggered by stress
In most cases if I am unable to stop the diarrhoea we rush her to the Vet
We have open files at the Northrand Vet in Boksburg and Craig View Vet in Atlasville (although Northrand has extensive history as they are our main vet)
Her ideal home would be with a large (closed off garden)

Reason why we had to make this heart shattering decision is because I suffered a traumatic experience two years back and my panic attacks have increased quite drastically this year and I have been dealing with other mental illness that unfortunately affects my Luna as she feeds off my feelings.
When we adopted Luna my intention was never to rehome her. I adopted her to help my soul heal again and for the most part she did but with my unpredictable mental illness I am unable to give her the full life she absolutely deserves.

She is a wonderful dog with such a character and she can be stubborn but she will creep into your heart and make a home there
She is my absolute everything and letting go is breaking my heart into millions of pieces and a void that no other can ever fill.

During colder temperatures, stray cats may crawl up under your car hood or wheel wells for warmth.

We are already hearing cases of cats in car engines so we wanted to remind you to do the following:

🐾 Keep your cats indoors 🏡

🐾 Bang on your car hood before getting in and starting the engine….listen👂🏻

🐾 Honk your horn….listen 👂🏻

🐾 Look for signs like paw prints and check under the car and wheel wells. 👀

Doing these steps only take a minute or two and it can save a cats life! 💛
