The foals had social hour after a big day of haltering, tying and meeting the ball! I’m reminded how much I enjoy introducing new things to babies and watching them learn, adapt and grow each day.

The Florida Cattlemen's Association and Seminole Feed have donated a truckload of feed for our area!! It is parked at Townsend Livestock Market and will be distributed this Tuesday October 22. While we are still cleaning up from Hurricane Helene, we can offer camper hook up’s and some pasture for horses for evacuees. From experience, I would strongly recommend not waiting until Tuesday to make a move. Idalia was named a Cat 3 (though really was nearly a 4) and it wrecked our town. Don’t wait. Make preparations now. Take friends up on their offers.

We are as prepared as we can be at this point. Debris from Hurricane Idalia still sits in some spots, looking on as Hurricane Debby makes her way nearly on the same path. We are fervently praying for safety over our homes, livestock and loved ones. Stay safe everyone.

Our motley crew of Catahoula cow dogs. Finally, the pups are coming along.

Our dogs help us gather and circle our cattle so we can {easily - said lightly} push them into pens. As always, practice makes perfect (and keeps the dogs fit). Tonight, we just practiced and the cool down in the water trough might be their favorite part.

July Camp is a wrap! What a blast we had! Everyday we rode horses and kept cool by Apple bobbing, rain showers or the slip & slide! The kids learned about basic equine health, the skeletal system, groundwork and the importance of how a good foundation with your horse on the ground helps in the saddle!

Enjoy looking back on our week with us!

Just a few reminders:
Please pack water bottle, lunch, boots/close toed shoes, sunscreen... come Wednesday and Thursday, a change of clothes/bathing suit. Drop off is 7:30/8. Pick up is 1:30.

I will have extra water and popcicles daily!
