Now is the time to prevent spring litters. Please spay and neuter! Prevention is so much better than many of the alternatives. We can't save them all no matter how hard we try. 😢

NOTE: Female cats will go into heat every 2-3 weeks until they are bred.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and many of us want to share the great food on the table with our pets. We'd like to offer a quick reminder of safe food treats for dogs and those to avoid.

***Clarification for the questions on ham and mashed potatoes: ham is not recommended due to salt, fat, and heavy preservatives. Can lead to gastroenteritis. Mashed potatoes are okay in their bare form, but when fats are added and heavy creams, it can lead to pancreatitis.

One vet became so frustrated by the number of people who believe that “doghouses” and “blankets” are adequate enough protection for dogs during freezing temperatures outside.

We have seen this post making the rounds on our friends' newsfeeds. It's an excellent reminder to all of us who adopt and foster, to give these dogs times to adapt to their new homes. With love, patience and time-sometimes less- sometimes more, the reward of giving a dog in need a home is GREAT!

If you haven't already please secure your pets!! I know the fireworks have been going for the last 2 weeks. I'm sorry if you have noise sensitive pets like me.
Be safe and secure your pets inside before you leave.
Happy 4th everyone!!

I'm already hearing fireworks so make sure your dogs, cats and other pets are in secure areas. Also microchipping and registering it helps get them back to you. Other things like Thunder Shirts, flower essences or last case meds.
My sheepdog Archie is noise sensitive so I know the struggle. Best wishes everyone!

Just wanting to remind everyone to keep thelr pets at home. It is too hot in vehicles and they can quickly die from heat stroke. The back of trucks are not an alternative.
Also don't walk your dogs in the heat. They get too hot and the pavement can burn their pads. If you can't hold your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds it's too hot

Dog houses are not shade. They get too hot.

Thank you for being responsible pet owners!🐾🐱🐕

We need to be reminded how confused they can be, we give them attention, enrichment and loving care but a loving home is so much more
