Aliyah Farm, Lippitt Morgans & Sport Horses Breeding Lippitt Morgans recognized as critically endangered on the Front Range in Northern Colorado.

Lippitt Morgans are a unique, as well as uncommon, bloodline within the Morgan breed, having the highest percentage of pure Morgan blood found in the Morgan Horse breed today. Tracing back to the first Morgan horse, more than 200 years ago, Lippitts carry no crosses to other breeds since the late 1800’s. Even today, many Lippitts can trace their ancestry back to the original Morgan in as few as tw

elve generations. Lippitts are the epitome of the original Morgan type, having all the heart, intelligence, and steadfast qualities that made the Morgan breed indispensable as an all-round versatile horse, with style, during the foundation and development of America.

After 3 years attempting AI, several times, with 3 different stallions, trying both cooled and frozen, I am excited to announce we finely have 2 full Lippitt foals on the way. We ended up doing live cover with IC (We go into the why's on our website). IC did a single cover for each mare and I think he is even better behavior wise. The mares are doing great.
Foals are at 60 days, due next July. The first is confirmed by our vet to be a filly, the second was too active to get a good read, despite lots of effort by our vet to get a look.

We've heard more than once from the vets that our altitude effects semen shipments coming from the lower elevations and it was suggested we use IC with Aliy, while he still young and hasn't gained his full weight.

IC and I went to Barbara Harris' place today to play on obstacles. We had a great time and met Barbara (And her lippitt filly Joleen) for the first time (As well as her other beautiful horses). Thank you Barbara Harris for allowing IC and I to visit, we had a wonderful time. IC was such a good boy and it was a great learning experience for him. Thank you also for taking photos of IC. Photos are so hard to get alone.
