The demand for fad colored, spotted or dogs with blue eyes that really should have brown eyes is tragic for the puppies born that die or are killed because they are essentially science experiments that went wrong. This happens all the time too. Puppies die, mother dogs die all because people will pay big money for fad colored dogs. IT'S TRAGIC!!

BREAKING: With the stroke of a pen, Oregon has stopped the sale of puppy mill puppies in pet stores! The entire West Coast is now closed to the cruel puppy mill-to-pet store pipeline. We won’t stop until puppy mills have nowhere left to sell. Thank you, Governor Kotek!

Today is ‼️ A pet store puppy IS a puppy mill puppy. Reputable breeders NEVER sell to pet stores. Period.

There are nearly 600 puppy-selling pet stores across the country as of today. The top 5 states for puppy stores make up more than 40% of the total.

Reputable breeders don't sell their puppies in pet stores or through click-and-ship websites.

Great idea!

Make it simple and easy for a family to find their loved family member! If you have a found a dog, please put a sign in your front yard or even the street corner. If you end up taking the dog to an animal control facility, police dept or vet clinic, change your sign to indicate where you have taken the dog.

It's the worst time of the year for pets. More Pets get lost on July 4 than any other night of the year.
Safety Tips:
1. LEAVE YOUR PET AT HOME‼️
2. Keep them leashed when they go out to potty, even if you have a fenced yard.
3. Play soothing music or the T.V. when you leave
4. Give them calming treats. If you haven't purchased them-- GO NOW.
5. If you can, stay home with them.

Truth!

Let’s talk about {OODLES} or anything that ENDS with that. Our rescue is SLAMMED with them. The humane societies, the brick & mortar shelters, the foster based friends, THE STREETS, our areas is beyond full of anything that ends in DOODLE because of the Midwest mills. Let me say it again. BECAUSE OF THE MIDWEST MILLS. Anything with a curly coat is where it’s at, right? WRONG! I often hear ppl who haven’t done their research say “we want a purebred doodle so we won’t be seeking one in rescue..” we want something hypoallergenic, that doesn’t shed, allergies, low energy, blah. WRONG & I just hate that because it shows why so many are wanting a doodle. There is NOTHING about them that is purebred. They’re all mixed. They have dander, some sheds they’re the furthest from a low energy dog, THEY ARE MIXED BREEDS & you’re doubling the genetic nightmare they can inherit. There are NO ethical doodle breeders & yes I know ppl will argue with me but I’ll die on this hill. We have saved no less that 60 doodle forms in our young 7 months. We’ve pulled from shelters, mills, owner surrenders & on the daily having to turn away surrender request from ppl who haven’t done their research. We try to send to other doodle rescues who are also turning dogs away because there are just too many. Im here today as a gentle reminder to do your research, to do it again, & THEN if that’s for you, adopt. Puppies, adults, teens, young adults, & so many more are literally overcrowding the shelters & rescues & it’s a lot. You’re breeding them faster than we can save them & it really sucks. Have a doodle question? Ask. We’re here to help educate & slow the supply & demand for an insanely misunderstood, overpopulated, extremely exploited breed & we are tired. I have 16 doodles from 8 weeks to 12 years in my surrender inbox right now. IT IS TOO MUCH! End puppy mills, end breeding for greed, end the breeder manipulations & lies, & SUPPORT LOCAL RESCUES & SHELTERS WHO ARE CLEANING UP THIS MESS. Stay well & do big things today, friends.
