The Cat Solarium The Cat Solarium is a open-air feline sun room with a panoramic view. Now you can give your indoor cat a taste of the outdoors. Welcome to The Cat Solarium.

Our founder is James Cramer. While he was in college at the University of Alabama, he built the first Cat Solarium. He wanted his cat to have access to the outdoors while he was in class. After graduating, James stayed in Tuscaloosa and owned 3 companies. One of which, was a very successful internet based company that shipped items all over the world. It is still in business and is thriving. The m

ost important thing James learned about the internet business is having great customer service. James will do whatever he can to make sure The Cat Solarium is built to fit your window properly. He will gladly answer any questions you may have, will personally walk you through the installation (If needed) and ask your opinions about the units and additions. James’s off time is spent fishing on the Tennessee River on Wilson Lake, sailing and kayaking. He too likes being “outdoors”. All solariums are made in our wood shop using top quality wood. Thank you so much for your interest in The Cat Solarium.

We are very happy to see the city of Los Angeles launch its new Citywide Cat Program, a program that provides funding and support to spay or neuter 20,000 community cats annually. TNR programs like these in major cities take dedication, careful planning, and a holistic community approach. We look forward to seeing its impact in the city of angels!

❤️ THANK MEW so much!!! ❤️

Earlier this week, we posted about record-breaking vet bills and asked for your help. We know times are hard for many in our , and did not know how many would be able to help. We are thrilled to announce that you have not only met our $7500 matching donation challenge, but you have now exceeded it! Thanks to our generous matching donors, and those who generously donated to help us receive the matching funds, you have raised more than $23,000 to help us continue to provide the best care possible for our kitties.

We are having many happy, grateful, humbled tears over here. 🥲

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. 💕

Here's the original post, in case you missed it:

RESCUE REALITY TIME: Last month, we incurred our highest vet bills in the history of TinyKittens -- a whopping $30,000.

We were delighted to be able to make a difference for so many special, complicated and deserving kitties, but we need your help to make sure we can continue to provide the very best care: TinyKittens.com/donate ❤️

A group of incredibly generous chatters has stepped forward to offer a matching donation of up to $7500, so every dollar you donate will turn into two!

We livestream our rescue work LIVE, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can always see what your generosity is making possible, and know how very grateful we are: TinyKittens.com/live

Here's why our vet bills have been increasing:

1. We have a severe veterinary and vet staff shortage in BC, which has reduced access to veterinary care, resulting in longer stays for the cats in our care.

2. Costs for vets, staff, supplies, medicine and operations have skyrocketed, and those costs need to be passed along in order for them to stay in business. We understand and support this.

3. We brought in 14 feral cats from our aging Happy Forest colony for major dental surgeries, extensive bloodwork, diagnostics, prescription food and medical treatment, so they can continue to age gracefully, with the best possible quality of life.

4. We continued our TNR efforts at several other properties.

5. We provide support to TinyKittens graduates who unexpectedly require intensive veterinary care.

6. Adoptions have slowed drastically across BC. For our extra special cats, this means much more time spent in our care. If you've been considering adopting, we have some AMAZING kitties waiting for homes: TinyKittens.com/adopt

Please know how grateful we are to our incredibly supportive, encouraging and generous for making such a difference in our world. Your compassion is contagious, and together, we are having a massive impact in a world that continues to throw new challenges our way. Whether you are able to contribute financially or not, please know how grateful we are to each one of you who continues to support us in so many ways. Thank you. 💕

Good night furriends, I’ve been home all night as the school next to us had a very noisy firework display. Mum said it sounded like a war zone a video snip is in the comments. I’m really not phased as you’ll see, nothing getting in the way of my snoozing.💥
Lubs always your cheeky furface 💗

Mom tried to make Rosie and me eat healthy this morning. She put some Salmon oil on our food. It’s supposed to be good for Rosie’s dry skin. I licked some of it and Rosie totally ignored her dish of food. Four hours later mom relented and gave us new food. We ate all of it with gusto. Now mom has to return the Salmon oil to Petsmart.

My husband really wanted a dog for a long time, finally i said ok, but let's go to the shelter with so many in need. So we drove to out local shelter to only look. I didn't want puppy, I wanted someone who was slightly older.

There wasn't many to choose from maybe 8. As i made my way back to look over again, they just brought in the saddest most scared little black and white dog i have seen. He looked at me and i lost all my breath. Just standing in the back of cage next to the wall.

I stood guard while my husband went to get someone who worked there so we could meet this little one. When he came into the room he just stood there trembling, all 20 pounds of him. He gave a little lick to each of us but mostly was terrified. They couldn't find his background history but he came from a kill shelter.

Our Story

Welcome to The Cat Solarium. Our founder is James Cramer. After graduating from The University of Alabama, he opened 3 business. He bought a town home and adopted a cat, A Russian Blue. At that time, James was working 80 hours a week, leaving his cat home alone. He felt bad and was worried the cat was bored. So he built the first Cat Solarium.

Now James’s cat had all day access to the outdoors. It was non-stop bird and squirrel watching, catching a cool breeze and napping in the sun. The cat was very happy with his new Cat “window” Solarium. The cat was having the time of his life outside and was completely safe.

All Solariums are made in our wood shop using the highest quality wood and components. Please visit the website to more details. All the pictures we use are our cat clients. Thank you so much for your interest in The Cat Solarium. www.catsolarium.com
