Priya has recently been quite unwell. While she was poorly and had very little appetite, I gave her food in a bowl! I did wonder if she’d ever go back to using her puzzle feeders again!
As soon as she started to feel better, she ignored the biscuits in the bowl and demanded food in her puzzle feeders!
Priya is doing so well. She’s still taking Prednicare (steroid), but we have reduced the dose to a tablet every other day and hopefully we can further reduce to one every three days very soon! She is eating a sensitivity diet, which she enjoys, so all good! ❤️🐈⬛❤️
Priya has always enjoyed drinking from the tap, so she loves this water fountain! Do your cats have a fountain or do they drink from a bowl? ❤️🐈⬛❤️
Priya was recently diagnosed with hypertension (high blood pressure). The only sign was a bleed on her eye, with her behaviour and health appearing unchanged! I initially thought she’d got an irritant, in her eye, or had been scrapping with another cat! As soon as she was seen by her amazing vets, she received a detailed eye examination and blood pressure check. Her blood pressure was very high and she was immediately prescribed medication. A re-check after a fortnight, shown a significant drop in blood pressure, although it’s still higher than normal. She will be having another blood pressure check, next week! We then need to establish whether the hypertension is secondary to another issue, such as CKD or hyperthyroidism, or if this is an idiopathic hypertension!
I would urge anyone, who sees any change in their cat’s eyes, to get them checked asap.
Priya is totally oblivious to any problem and is still enjoying using her many puzzle feeders! ❤️🐈⬛❤️
Waiting for Priya to take a nap, so I can do some more of my jigsaw! Jigsaw puzzles and Priya don’t go well together! Her dexterity is perfect for puzzle feeders but not for jigsaw puzzles! 🤣 🧩 🐈⬛
Favourite puzzle feeder of the day!
Priya has a few biscuits in each of her puzzle feeders, but this is clearly today’s favourite! She hasn’t used this one for a while, as I rotate which ones are available, so she doesn’t get bored!
This is currently Priya’s favourite puzzle feeder! I love the look I get at the start of the video, when she realises she’s being filmed! 😂❤️🐈⬛❤️
This is definitely one of the more challenging puzzle feeders for Priya! I’ve set it up to be easier for her, as she hasn’t used this one for a long time! She really enjoys the Nina Ottosson Puzzles
Priya hasn’t used this puzzle feeder for many months!
I regularly rotate which ones are available, so she doesn’t get bored!
She really enjoys this one! ❤️🐈⬛❤️
Priya was getting rather frustrated, but then her persistence paid off! Jackpot!!! ❤️🐈⬛❤️
This is such a good puzzle feeder, as it has so many different aspects to it! Priya is enjoying scooping the biscuits out of the little cups, this morning! ❤️🐈⬛❤️
Priya spots she’s still got a few biscuits left! Her quota is weighed out each morning and she grazes all day long! She eats a few, she goes outside, she comes in for a nap, she eats a few more! She only gets her set amount, which last her all day, in her various puzzle feeders! If the days allowance were put into a bowl, they’d all be eaten within an hour or so!
This way of feeding is so good for Priya’s physical, mental and emotional well-being!
After she finishes her remaining biscuits, she washes them down with a lovely long drink from her water fountain! ❤️🐈⬛❤️
Priya has always loved this play mat! What’s your cats favourite toy? 🐈⬛
Priya has had breakfast in two different puzzle feeders, this morning!
Each morning her quota of food for the day, is weighed out. This is distributed between a variety of puzzle feeders. She then grazes throughout the day.
Sometimes the simple ones are the best! Especially when you combine it with your play mat! ❤️🐈⬛❤️
Another day, another breakfast, another puzzle feeder!
Although I say breakfast, Priya doesn’t eat two or three meals per day! She eats little and often throughout the day, which is a much more natural way for a cat to eat! This doesn’t mean she eats unlimited amounts per day. At the start of each day, I weigh out her daily ration and this is distributed between her various puzzle feeders! ❤️🐈⬛❤️
Priya just picks the biscuits up and puts them straight into her mouth! She’ll be using a knife and fork soon! 😂🐈⬛❤️
Priya loves the boxes of HayBox.club hay, almost as much as the guinea pigs of The Excellent Adventure Sanctuary (for guinea pigs with extra needs), love the hay! ❤️🐈⬛❤️
