Feathered Timmy and Jinx... The fairly odd parrots Timmy is a Yellow-Naped Amazon Parrot. cranky. He's a curious fellow and potentially too smart for his own good.

We're not sure how old he is, technically we're not sure he's even a boy, but we're pretty sure. He can be a pit unpredictable and you should never put your fingers in his cage, because he can get, err.. Mai-Tai came to us as a baby in June, 2010 following the loss of our first Budgerigar, Baby. He's such a goofy little thing and very tame. He only says one word, "kiss". Shockingly, he loves to gi

ve kisses. He'll stand with his little tummy against your face and kiss your cheek, chin and lip over and over again. Our flock also has 3 humans (Mommy, Daddy, Brother), as we've definitely become a family. Daddy is pretty sure that they feel sorry for us because we're impaired. Not having wings or being able to fly must be just awful! Oh, and I think Timmy thinks Brother is really his child rather than his brother!

We took the boys to the vet today for a checkup, as well as beak and nail care. They're both in excellent health, although Timmy is a touch heavy. Even though they were stressed, they behaved so well and we're really proud of them!

Jinx, my little conure, wasn't ready to get up this morning, I guess. He was standing on my hand with his body leaning against my face, his beek pressed into the inner corner of my eye, using my eyelid as a pillow. He closed his eyes and took a little nap. I feel so honored to be the chosen napping spot! Seriously, it was so sweet, I wish I could've gotten a picture.

Just hanging out today. Tried to rescue Jinx from the blanket too, how dare those humans put a blanket over his cage just because he screeched nonstop. He always screeches when there's any light in the hallway, even sunlight! 5 minutes of the blanket was way too long!
