We wanted to share a little story of this very sweet girl that went missing mid afternoon Sunday after chasing a bunny. She was seen in the median of the turnpike shortly after and managed to travel down the turnpike approximately 3 miles from Maumee into Rossford where she exited the turnpike around Mandell Road. The owner contacted multiple police departments and the sheriff's office in hopes someone could find her. The owner came out immediately when she heard about the last sighting off Mandell and set out a blanket, pillow and Bella's squeaky toy! They then headed home but turned around to meet us when they heard we were coming with a trap. Upon arrival they noticed the blanket had been balled up and the squeaky ball was gone. They then started playing recordings of squeaky toys and they saw her. The owner then slowly laid down on the ground and Bella ran right to her!!!!
Its a miracle she was not hit but she did pick up a few dozen ticks! 😝
We want to thank everyone that assisted! A wonderful lady on Mandell Rd that helped and let us access her property, Linda Frazier for speaking with the owner and her neighbor to helping search and direct them in any way she could, Carol Worden and everyone else who were able to help search and share posts! The owner, Kathy, is very grateful for everything and Bella was so very happy to be in Mom's arms after her 8 hour excursion!
Great job Kathy and Christa!! 🩷🐾
We just want you all to know that sweet Millie that went missing in Perrysburg is contained. She went into one of Dan's trap! Wooohooo way to go Dan Keller
Charlie
Happy Howloween!! Charlie fell for our tricks and got lots of treats earlier today! It's always great when rescuers come together to bring a dog safely home. Great work on making posters/signs Kathy. Dan and Maegan dropping bait and cams and everyone spending hours driving around searching night and day.
Leyla
**UPDATE- While holding her through the night we learned she is NOT microchipped, she knows basic commands, loves children, and seems to be good with other dogs. She is now at Wood County Dog Shelter **
Thank you everyone!
While looking for 2 other dogs yesterday this terrified girl was spotted. We were extremely concerned with her disregard to all vehicles and wanted to get a trap out as soon as possible. Then we had more reports of her roaming the area of Oak & Andrus and Wales Rd in Northwood. So we set the trap and she took the bait this morning. She wasn't too happy at first but you can see what a little patience and love can do in such a short time!
We will check for a chip and have updates shortly. See comments for pictures (for some reason we had to do them separately)
We also would like to give a huge shout out to Northwood Police Department for always being so helpful and going above and beyond everytime we have been in there area! Thanks again gentleman!!
