Hi Everyone,
A last minute request! If you haven't done so yet, please consider sending a letter/message to the Commission Streamlining Task Force asking them to NOT recommend eliminating the Commission of Animal Control and Welfare. The Task Force should instead recommend to KEEP the Commission!

Letters/messages need to be received before 1:00PM PST TODAY Tuesday, November 4th (this afternoon is the Task Force's deadline in order to view letters/messages prior to their November 5th meeting).

Hello Everyone! I need to ask a favor if you are able to do so - San Francisco is in the process of reviewing the city's commissions, advisory boards, committees and other public bodies as part of Proposition E which was passed last November. Unfortunately, the Commission Streamlining Task Force (which was created to review our public bodies) has made an interim decision to recommend that the Animal Commission be eliminated. As Chair of that Commission, I am rallying up support so the final recommendation is to keep the Commission and not eliminate it. The Animal Commission may only be advisory - but we have a rich history of compassionate recommendations and actions to help our city's domestic animals and wildlife. If you are from San Francisco (or not in San Francisco but you are aware of my work helping animals), please consider sending a letter/message of support for our Commission to the Task Force. Please see the link in the comments for more information, including an example of a message that can sent. Please know that letters/messages need to be received by 1:00PM on Tuesday, November 4th in order to reach the Task Force in time for their November 5th meeting so the sooner you are able to send a message the better!
