Girls and Horses is an introduction to horses for girls ages 7-12 years old. Established in 2011, this was the beginning of LIFESKILLS RANCH PROGRAM and has continued to evolve each year. We now offer a week filled with horses, lead

ership and confidence building exercises, crafts, cooking, nature exploration and farm-life experience! We top it off with a formal tea party and a lesson in manners and etiquette. RANCH WRANGLERS
This week is all about the boys...learning about and riding horses, an introduction to roping, archery, backcountry survival skills, woodworking, hiking in the hills... and more. The boys will leave with increased confidence, new skills and an appreciation for nature and ranch life. Sessions are limited to 8 boys so this session fills very quickly...

Summer 2023 is a wrap! The 13th season of Girls & Horses was one of the best ever. Eight terrific young ladies had fun riding horses, playing in Alder Creek, drinking tea while learning etiquette, laughing and making new friends.

The 7th annual Peaceful Warrior Ranch Retreat was rewarding for all...six women veterans spent the weekend sharing their stories, painting pottery, playing with the horses, relaxing in the shade, and more. Thank you for your service ladies! 💙🇺🇸

The Lifeskills Sisterhood Retreat was all about the 'big' girls...young teens who proved that they are kind, strong, capable and beautiful! We had two nights and two days of horses, creek time, laughter, intro to yoga and meditation, crafts, movie night, campfire with S'mores, and most importantly, new friendships. An outstanding group of young women!

Ranch Hands in the making! We wrapped up the summer with four terrific young men. They learned how to stack hay and fix a fence, did a little bit of blacksmithing, worked on their riding and roping skills...we packed a lot of fun into two days! PEACEFUL WARRIOR RANCH RETREAT

This 3-night/4-day event, held each fall, began in 2016. Eight women veterans come to WOLF SPRINGS RANCH to enjoy horsemanship, crafts, home-cooked meals, traditional crafts, yoga, massage and friendship. The women all leave feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and with new life-long friends. This retreat is offered to any woman veteran at no cost - this is possible due to generous donations to the non-profit organization.
