Rainy days are great for dog piles, cuddles, building forts and a bit of tug to get the weary day tension out!
We’re glad to see our boarding guest, Sadie, fitting in well with the Mother of Dog pack!
A tired dog is a happy dog. Dog parks can be stressful, but very rewarding. If you have a medium to high energy dog, these trips can be a life saver. Not only are they getting exercise, they are getting mental stimulation and socialization. Two very important things for your Canine!
Mother of Dog offers trips to a local dog park - where you can rest while your dog is in safe experienced hands. Check us out!
Cats are important too! Featuring Ginkgo, our little bobtail. Ginkgo is a huge cuddler and loves playing with dogs! Sometimes we can’t tell if our cat thinks he’s a dog our if our puppy is turning into a cat!
Since Ginkgo is an indoor cat, it’s important we keep him active and enriched; some of his favorite things include: pipe cleaner coils, empty toilet paper rolls, q tips, and his little plot of cat grass!
Enrichment is essential! Giving your dogs new things, puzzles, and games can be as easy and cheap as you want it! For Alexander, I’ve been letting him sniff his heart out on our walks, and he got his breakfast in a paper bag that my breakfast had come home in. This way, he had to put in a little “work” to get his food, and he got to smell the ham and cheese from earlier! Since he can be picky about eating, I made a little bowl out of the bag to keep it from being frustrating.
Our goal is to keep your pups happy, entertained, and healthy!
Quill is thirteen weeks old today! We’re almost done with vaccinations, which means his world gets a lot bigger! We’ve been working on sit, down, leave it, as well as impulse control and basic manners.
Having a puppy or a new dog can be tough, especially for first time dog parents. We offer owner support— giving you the tools you need to better understand your new pup and set them up for success!
Well he’s definitely a smart baby!
Some much needed exercise for our fur family. ❤️
We were double booked this weekend! While Tiff hangs out with the other pups (and cats) downtown, Alexander has been staying a couple nights at our place with me and the boys. There’s been almost nonstop running and playing.
Hello everyone!
Sorry we've been quiet for a little while as the humans have settled into a new routine. We currently have business cards that we're working on and a couple of future training prospects in the works!
We greatly appreciate all of you, and thank you graciously for spreading the word about Mother of Dog. It is our dream to surround ourselves with amazing clients and their awesome companions - in hopes of offering a more balanced and greater quality of life for both human and canine!
Our last Adventure with Dash at the dog park was a huge success as he has made some friends and actually played! Dash has made huge strides and improved so much and it is all thanks to his amazing owners! Keep up the good work and good luck on your future endeavors!
