Hard to beat a correct white crested cuckoo bantam, it’s took me alot of years to bring them to the same level as my white crested blacks

Oldest modern game pullet inside for some routine handling, a birchin, up until a few nights ago she was pretty wild but we’re getting there now eventually.

New pens I made for the Polands and Moderns, fitted with Led lights, all wood treated and sealed, backed with pvc plastic to brighten the pens up. Each pen is 3ftx 2.5

⭐️ Something different⭐️ Self Buff Polish bantam project, considering they used to be fully laced chamois when I started it, they have came a long way but still there’s a long way to go.

One of last years cockerels brought indoors for a bit of handling tonight. Hes one of the couple which I bred some off this year. There’s alot to like about him. I’m pleased with the good condition he’s in for this time of year after having a short spell in a breeding pen, just one of those birds that always stood out from being a chick. They don’t come much better than this.

One of only two self white bantam pairs I bred from this year. By using pair matings, good records and being really selective over a long period of time I can really improve certain aspects in my Polands. Self whites have always been one of my favourites. Currently I breed very few of them in numbers but I keep the quality very high. In recent years I’ve been working on bringing all my other colours upto a good standard, this year I bred a few more bantam whites

2020 bred Weeton cockerel home bred in for a bit of work tonight. Not an easy colour to get right. I’ve just took a few chicks off him paired back to his mother and a few chicks off a friends pullet. Hopefully their decent🤞

Large Fowl blacks, last year my cock bird didn’t fill eggs early enough in the year for the chicks to reach optimum growth rates. This year lucky enough he did. This is my 2nd and last small hatch of big blacks this year
