Working my way towards food and home security. Using the land to support myself with the smallest footprint possible. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm about to find out. Looking to sell excess veggies and eggs to friends and family, in order to support the ongoing infrastructure development. We are always non-GMO, and pesticide free. I want to sustain and support life on this planet, at the

only place I can -
in my back yard. I am honored to be placed in charge of a piece of land that contains a living stream, a pond that beats along with the hearts of the thousands of creatures that make a home there, a magnificent hill that contains thousands of mature trees, steep cliffs, and dry gullies. How did I get so lucky? :)

Our way of life is in serious trouble, and *somebody* has to do *something*. This is my way to channel my frustrations at the system that has been sold to us... one of endless growth and continuous consumption. Ain't nobody got time for that!!! Now, we are finally awakening to our truths.. we started out on the land, and that is where we must return, if we have any chance of survival. I hope Mother Earth forgives us.

We've been a little busy working on the initial stages of our food forest! A kitchen garden (64x68) and an orchard (a little smaller than that!) are part of our first year plans.

Huge thanks to Humble hive Consulting for coming up with the long term (with lots of tiny details!) plan! Highly recommend Lauren if you too want to grow more of your own food.

Today I finished planting the perennial fruits, asparagus and berries. Tomorrow, the fruit trees arrive! Waiting on our first chip drop to cover the cardboard... Hurry up already! 😁

Another great day of foraging... Morels and ramps FTW! Grateful it stopped raining for a bit.

Another food item we harvest here are morel mushrooms! The prior owner had told me they'd found them in the past, but I had never had any luck until friends Jordan and Mel came over last spring and laid bare my mushies everywhere!

So this spring, I'm ready and waiting. 🍄

I'm going to be putting together the first "shipment" of duck eggs this weekend!

Since I haven't sold for a while, I don't have many extra egg cartons. So if you are planning on purchasing, would you please start saving them for us to use? thank you!
