Congratulations to our members who were invited to test at the Invitational. We recognize the training and devotion that you put into your dogs to receive such an honor. Making it to this level is a special accomplishment. Pass or not , your dogs are the best of the best. The Chapter is honored to have played a part in your journey.

Registration is open for the first HerUpland northeast region event of the year!! Bring you and your dog(s) for an over night camping trip to western Pennsyltucky. The EC would like to thank everyone who attended The Shenango Family Picnic yesterday. Good food , good friends and good conversations. It's nice to have an opportunity to sit and learn more about our members outside of our usual training days. We hope you all had as good a time as we did.

There was some talk about adding another social event next year and maybe a member hunt later this year. Let us know your thoughts!

**** ⚠️ ALERT ⚠️ ****

Shenango NAVHDA,

A quick update, after today's training day, it appears there may be a Turkey nest in the large bird field. Please avoid this region of the bird field with your dog if training over the next two weeks.

The area where the nest is located is at the entrance of the bird field, directly to the right of the dog start/"release point" of the bird field and up to the first large pine tree on the right of the field.

ALERT

🔸️ ATTENTION: APPALACHIAN TRAIL DOG OWNERS & HIKERS 🔸️

Over the weekend, it was reported that a hiker found dog treats stuffed with fishhooks near the George W. Outerbridge shelter on the Appalachian Trail.

The incident occurred near the North Trail Loop leading to the shelter, on State Game Lands #217, in Washington Township, Lehigh County.

Items like these could prove deadly to any animal that consumes them, including wild and domesticated animals.

If anyone has any information about the incident or locates more findings, please call 1-833-PGC-WILD or 1-833-PGC-HUNT immediately.

REMINDER: PA Turkey season begins this Sat , 4/27. The training grounds are CLOSED until NOON ,Mon-Sat, until Spring Turkey season closes. They can be used the normal hours on Sundays. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. Be safe , be ethical and have fun.
