Have a meeting as a family to decide who will be the point person for giving your dog food, water, walks, exercise, clean-up, and grooming.
Post a schedule of tasks somewhere visible to remind each family member of their responsibilities. If you have kids, print out a colorful picture schedule to remind them of their responsibilities which will teach them early on how to care for others ❤️

When you bring a new puppy or dog home, you need to be proactive with a consistent potty break schedule. An example would be to wait 30 minutes after your puppy is done eating and drinking, bring it outside on leash, say “go potty,” visually confirm it went potty, then reward with treat. Relieve puppy every 2-3 hours on leash outside. For adult dogs, they can usually go every 5-6 hours. If you are out of the house for long periods of time, then you may need to consider doggy day care or hire a dog walker.
