Chopaan Guardians Home of the Central Asian Shepherd Dogs Our dogs are working dogs first and show dogs second. We have the best of both worlds in that they are exceptional working dogs as well as show dogs

My husband and I are Central Asians and we have had this breed not only for many years in the USA...but we have had this breed for many generations back in our families as well as in pre

sent times in their original setting ....

Our CAS have always been strictly outdoor multi-purpose working dogs accept for the occasions that we travel and they stay in the hotel with us or we have the need for them to be indoors(in the "nursery" were we have new babies that need extra attention)

We speak the native language(Farsdi/dari) with them as well as often fed the same traditional shepherds food they would get back in Central Asia....

This breed has been in our lives from generation to generation and hundreds of years from the times of the original Nomads of Central Asia(Koochee people). Our dogs are raised, trained and live as they did where they were originally founded. This breed is more to us than just a show dog or a breed...The Central Asian Shepherd Dog/Koochee dog is and has always been a part of our culture, traditions and family. This breed is a majestic breed that shows confidence and strength in its presence. We make it a goal and priority to breed for temperament and working abilities true to the original and ancient Central Asian Shepherd. Our expertise in this breed goes back for many generations and we plan to continue the tradition. Please understand that we are not a high volume kennel...thus we will not always have puppies available....

We breed for the betterment of the breed...we breed for need/purpose and not for luxury or hobby....

We breed for quality and not for quantity....

When planning and searching our goals are to produce puppies/dogs that have: Proper temperament, balanced well put together confirmation and structure...

First video example of confidence and respect. Watching and observing noticing running and doesn’t engage or chase.

Second video example of once again above mentioned points and even though goats are running and playing they are not joining in on the fun. Also perfect example of all the “scary” and new noises they hear for the first time. Notice how calm and confident they are with the loud power tools going off and both neighbors dogs excessive annoying fencing and barking. Not once do you see tails going down or hiding.

Today I also noticed Pamir being the bestest mama as usual. The pup was playing and trying to chew the puppy pads and she gently nudged their mouths to stop them from chewing licked thier faces and basically lured them away. 💕🥰
