GRACIE-ANNE ~ FOSTER ~ MSGBR

After WEEKS of hanging out in the dining room away from the wood stove, Gracie-Anne is gracing (pun intended) us with her presence.

Safely up against the arm of the sofa with me between her & the stove, she keeps one eye on the stove.

But she's facing her fears. And she's relaxed although she occasionally looks at me for reassurance.

This foster mama is so proud of this little PB who has overcome so much.

Gracie-Anne is highly adoptable to someone who will have the patience to allow her to decompress & trust a little longer than most dogs. But once she opens up she will repay you that time tenfold.

One of my client’s friends is trying to find a home for a sweet 1 year old male kitty. She tried to keep him but has two elderly cats (17,19 y/o) and two dogs and it hasn't worked out. She has contacted all the shelters, adoption groups in a 30 mile radius and all are full. She is feeding him now and says he is a very affectionate lap kitty. Not feral. Anyone?? Please share. Thanks 👍🏼❤️

SCAM ALERT 🚨 Loudoun County Animal Services shared the following -

“We have been made aware of several scams taking advantage of owners of missing pets. Scams may include callers posing as Loudoun County Animal Services staff, or posing as a pet tracking business. They may even use software to appear to be calling from legitimate phone numbers, claiming to have found a lost pet, or be willing to help for a fee.

LCAS will never:
🐶Demand payment via Venmo, Zelle, PayPal or similar apps, gift cards or ask for bank information
🐶Withhold emergency veterinary care from an animal

Protect yourself from these scammers:
🐶Verify any claims – ask for proof such as photos.
🐶Ask where they are calling from, hang up, look up the vet office/shelter’s number and call that number directly.
🐶Check the LCAS website. Stray pets in our care are always listed online.
🐶Verify a business license for Pet Tracking or Drone businesses through their local Commissioner of the Revenue office
🐶Never send money to strangers. Trust your instinct.

Luke (brown) & Jasmine (B&W) stayed with me this past week. Jasmine is very intimidated by the bigger dogs but she has often shown interest in befriending Cooper. So once the others are put up they do this weird ballet every time. Luke seems protective of her. But he shows it perfectly. No aggression. No intimidation. Just a block & divert. Good boy Luke!
