HUMANITY BEFORE VANITY!
Everyone wants their dog to have long luxurious hair. But are you willing to put in the time of brushing everyday?
I’m not saying it’s impossible, but you can’t have a dog with a long and fluffy coat without putting in some work in between grooming appointments.
This dog is a Maltese with lots of soft, fine hair. This type of hair requires brushing and combing in such a way that the coat is not damaged in the process.
This is why I’m happy to teach you how to brush as well as show you the tools you will need to maintain this coat at home.
Clipping down a matted coat in a shorter length was the best thing for this dog and her family. The mats on her legs and body were too far gone to try and brush out, so the most humane thing was to give her a Summer clip. We can try for long and fluffy again once this coat grows out. Also, just because this coat is short does not mean it doesn’t need to be maintained. This dog will still require regular grooming to make sure mats don’t occur during the growing out process.

Oh Louie! What an absolute DOLL BABY! Puppies are so fun to groom for their first groom! The main reason is to get them used to sites and sounds of the water, blow dryer and learn . Puppy’s first groom should always be a experience weather a complete groom is accomplished or not. The whole idea is to acclimate your pup. It will usually take three or more grooming for the whole thing to finally click. Then the little lightbulb goes off in their little heads and then they learn that grooming is fun and relaxing. I love to teach this! Not by correcting or reprimands, but by gentle readjusting on the table. (Lifting the pup gently off the table a few inches) then putting their feet back into the table with chirps, kissy sounds, and lots and lots of praise! 🐶🐶🐾 P.S. this was the “Before” picture. I will get a good “After” next month. There is only a small window of opportunity to keep puppies engaged. 🐾🐶🛁

Please remember, you regular groomer will most likely raise prices every year to compensate for the rising cost of products. If you’re happy with their service, but find someone who charges less, please keep in mind that your dog is a creature of habit. Dogs bond with the person who regularly gives them a warm, relaxing bath, and regular love and encouragement. Switching groomers just to save a few bucks may be devastating for your pet and you may notice less interest in food, sleeping more, or losing interest in things they normally get excited about. I realize everything is costing more money these days, but consider your pet’s well being before changing groomers.

Penny is the CUTIE of the day! What a sweet little girl! Her Mama takes the time to go over her coat with the proper brush and knows that following with a wide toothed comb is the only way to maintain her soft puppy coat. Penny’s coat will soon go through coat change. This is when her adult coat with a different texture will be growing out. This is the most crucial time in your pup’s life to instill regular grooming so she will view grooming as a fun, “Pawsitive” adventure instead of a scary and painful process.
Because her family takes the time to comb her daily, she truly enjoyed her first time inside the spa by showing the love with lots of sweet kisses! 💕🛁💗💖

Prince is relaxed and secure getting his groom on inside the mobile. Cats get the time they need to chill during their spa day. No rushing trying to hurry here. Cats need the time to acclimate and relax.

That’s a wrap for grooming 2023.
THANK YOU to all my wonderful clients!!! I appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you for giving me the gift of being able to groom your dogs. It’s a lot more than just bathing and brushing. Your pets are my therapy and I learn from each and every one of them. It’s a pleasurable exchange between another living being and I love the interaction of their energy.

Thankful I could help this baby. Small fluffy dogs need to be groomed regularly. I can’t say it enough. The longer the coat style you desire, the more frequently your pup will need professional grooming services. It’s more than just looking cute. Matted hair will trap sticks, twigs, dirt, burrs and even rocks!
This should also include regular brushing at home. Mats happen.
Let’s work together to keep your fluffy family member in a style that works for both of you. I serve Banning, Beaumont, Cherry Valley, Calimesa and Yucaipa every four weeks on regular routes. Getting on at least a four week schedule is so easy!

We are now able to increase our weight limit for . Zoey so enjoyed her morning session. Listen to the relaxing in the background. This girl has seriously come such a long way getting over her fear while getting groomed. She has only been with her family since December and has really bonded nicely. I think her monthly have helped build her confidence!
