Smokey (one of my all time favorites) came back to the rescue today...

He needs a companion home.
Perfect for lead lining the kiddos.

He does have a bum knee
but he is 100% a gentleman.
Such a good boy and he deserves a great home.

Update on Joker 💕

Day 6

When Joker arrived, we noticed he had a stitch at the end of a long jagged scar.... we also noticed he did not like anyone to get near his mouth. So, since his arrival we've been playing with him and giving him cookies. He's a pretty sweet dude but he does have a temper. Today he seemed to be comfortable enough for us to check out his stitch and try to remove it. There was obviously something hindering the healing and this seemed like the most likely culprit.

As we led him in the stocks, I was mindful that we might be required to go digging for the other stitches because he had abruptions along the scar... so I was praying that all would go smoothly. 🙏

We cut the stitch and to my joy this entire running suture came out in one pull. Now he can heal. Joker seems so relieved... I know I am. ❤️

We had to cut the old Halter off, then we fitted him with a cozy leather halter. He looks dapper.

He's eating great, his energy level is high, his rehab is going well.
