Happy Birthday! Wilbur is in double digits! 10 years young! He got his special cupcakes as a treat and Niko the dog and Blue the cat joined the party. He can only have a little sugar ... but boy does he love the occasional sweet treat!

Can you believe it's a year today since we learned that pigs can fly and Wilbur finally arrived home in Lincolnshire. After a year of planning, stress, heartbreak, and final victory. Over 15 agencies, cancelled flights, an 8 hour van ride from Jacksonville - North Carolina to Atlanta - Georgia, BA flight to London, held 3 days for import processing, then a final transport to Lincolnshire. Wilbur has settled into life here so perfectly. He loves his routine, his back garden and the nest he claimed in the greenhouse. He loves England's milder weather, and his cozy spot in the cottage for sleeping. He really is living his best life. We never forget all the people of worked to get him home (especially Ruben who sacrificed so much to make the dream a reality). All Wilbur's well wishers and folks who donated to his fund helped make it possible and we can't think about the love and energy that helped Wilbur truly fly without a tear in our eye. Thank you all ... We literally could not have done it without you. ❤️

With the shorter days closing in, Wilbur has found new ways to amuse himself. He loves a good pile of leaves and got the zoomies running through them. I'm so sad we didn't manage to catch video ... The good news is he can do it all again tomorrow. 😁

Wilbur made his epic flight almost 8 months ago. His very good friends gifted this beautiful flying pig weather vane to us. It watches over Wilbur as he lays in the sunshine. Thank you Grubb family for your support and friendship as we transitioned to life in the UK ❤️.

This 9 year memory popped up on Facebook today. It's Wilbur when he turned 6 months old. He loved hanging out on our porch in Greensboro,North Carolina as a piglet. He used to jump in my lap when I was enjoying my morning coffee. He's getting a little old for jumping on the furniture... but loves our porch and garden in the UK.

Wilbur has been trying to steal this tarp from the green house for weeks. He finally got it and took it back to his crate to make a nest. Look how pleased he is with himself. 😂

First photo at end of June. Second photo this morning. What a difference a few weeks make! It's molting season for pigs. As Wilbur ages, his coat takes longer to blow. When he was a younger piggy, all his hair would fall out in about 2 days. At age 9, it's taken the entire month of July. He is finally naked, and his new coat is already showing through. Now he can get his exfoliation treatment and some baby lotion to have him feeling fresh ... and more importantly ... not itchy!
