Look what we found in England in mid-January! One happy piggy. Sound on for excited grunts and sloppy munching.
As a thank you for all their hard work, Wilbur sent some of his super cool mugs to the amazing team at Feathers and Fur Express. This Atlanta based company helped us navigate the miles of red tape to bring Wilbur to the UK. ❤️.
OrangeKat and Wilbur discussing important topics at their morning meeting.
This morning Wilbur experienced his first cold, rainy, wet English morning. He was not impressed (though he did stay out long enough to eat his breakfast under the gazebo). Watch with the sound on to hear him grumbling to me about it when I opened the door. Much better to be warn and dry by the fire.
Last night's flight for Wilbur was cancelled. This reel provides the latest update.
Will Wilbur Pig be home for Christmas.
STEPS 1 and 2 COMPLETE: All health inspections completed and paperwork endorsed. Now STEP 3, to convince a very suspicious Wilbur to get into his shipping crate. Sweet potatoes for the win!
This video was from the morning we were all supposed to be leaving for the airport together. Wilbur's travel permit had been denied just hours before, but we decided to move forward with Alison and the dogs and cats. Alison is just barely holding it together. We were heartbroken to be leaving Ruben and Wilbur behind. We have just learned this morning that changing Ruben and Wilburs flight so close to Christmas is going to cost another £1,400. It just never ends 😭. Please consider donating to Wilburs GoFundMe campaign pinned at the top of his page. We are well over £20,000 in expenses (both direct and indirect) and we haven't even got the USDA bill yet.
Wilbur enjoying some pineapple. It looks like he will have to stay in North Carolina till mid December to complete isolation and yet more blood work. Every hurdle jumped is one less between the US and the UK. #piggyhomeforchristmas
Devastating news late yesterday afternoon.
